May 18, 201115 yr Hi there, I have a few effigies sitting in my bank at the moment, I know what they do but still I don't know what to do with them. I've read guides and item descriptions here but they never clearly state what to do with them if they're useless for you. I've been playing Runescape for about 6 years and my highest non-combat level is 80. I don't think this'll get any higher within the next few months/years, so I doubt I'll ever use any effigies myself. So what is the best way for me to use them? 'Sell' the exp when I let someone else assist? Where do I find someone who'll pay me? Any other ways? Thanks in advance :) AwF_Suir1 in-gameClick here to read about RuneScape Must-Haves!
May 18, 201115 yr Nobody is going to pay you to assit you. Once you completely unlock them through assit or by yourself, you can a lamp which gives you exp in any skill you choose.
May 18, 201115 yr As you'll never be using the effigies yourself, the best thing to do is to unlock them by having people assist you, and then use the xp lamp on the skill of your choice. As said before, finding people to assist daily is very easy, so people won't be paying you for it. It sometimes happens that people that look for someone to assist them pay, but generally it's easy enough to find someone. You can see which skills can be assisted here. To find assists people generally go to W117 dungeoneering or a friends chat channel called "assistclan" - I'm happy to assist you too, if you have the need. Seems odd...Thanks for the help anyway (: AwF_Suir1 in-gameClick here to read about RuneScape Must-Haves!
May 18, 201115 yr how would this experience go to you when you stated this"I don't think this'll get any higher within the next few months/years, so I doubt I'll ever use any effigies myself."

May 18, 201115 yr Since it's difficult to get your skills to the level required for the effigies a lot of players don't have those. Therefore they usually ask for people's assist to get to the dragonkin lamp which provides (as said before) a certain amount of xp to any skill you like. For the hardest levels (like rc and con) people are very thankful to even get someone to assist them, because not many people have those levels.
May 19, 201115 yr Nobody is going to pay you to assit you. Once you completely unlock them through assit or by yourself, you can a lamp which gives you exp in any skill you choose. Unless its herb, I often see people at 117 dunge offering 50k or so to assist you in herb. I find it kinda funny

Offering money for your services entices people to come their way instead of people doing it for free. Just another method people use to get their exp faster (even though they are limited due to assist) A reflection is just a distorted reality held by glass and your mind.
May 19, 201115 yr get 97 cooking, as it's pretty easy97 fletch is pretty easy as well.89 hunter + mud bath works as well (should mention you can boost cooking and fletch as well, not sure the amountyou only need 92 agility + summer pie, however can be kind of difficult.94 thieving will get you the boost.92 fishing, although that takes quite a while as wellsmithing is expensive and fast, mining is slow but profitablerc is slow, but profitable, summoning requires charms, although unless you're a staker, it's usually a good idea to have 96 summoning. And that sums up how you can get all skills required to unlock effigies.

May 19, 201115 yr I feel dumb because i got 2 effigies alone yesterday and just traded them into varrock, im assuming that's always a terrible idea right? I should always have someone upgrade it for me and then use the lamp right?

I should always have someone upgrade it for me and then use the lamp right? Unless you're really lazy, yes. I had ~40 of them sitting in my bank. Couldn't be bothered spending 3 days in 117 getting an assist so I just got the levels myself. Although that may be impractical for you, I wouldn't give them to the museum, you might find some skill you could really use the experience in and decide to get them all opened.
