Danabis
It's hard to consider any of your suggestions as 'the best' or your favourite when you list so many. Pick a few man. I'd say... How2PK
What kind of things does a great album opener need according to you? Comming up with a list of great songs that happen to be the first track on an album isn't too hard. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore! Barking-Loon
"Aces High" - Powerslave (Iron Maiden) and "Breaking the Law" - British Steel (Judas Priest) are the best album openers IMO. A recent study shows that 92% of all teenagers have small purple pet elephants named Jack. Put this in your sig if you are one of the 8% who like to do the fandango on Wednesday afternoons

hohto
I see these songs as ones that are perfect for the opening track, not just good songs that happen to be the first one. Stratovarius - Hunting high and low = Not really my kind of music, but pretty catchy song and a good intro in this song. Darkthrone - En Vind av Sorg = Panzerfaust isn't even close to being the best album from Darkthrone, but still had to put this song. Raw and brutal song that really shows what Darkthrone is. I'd rather die for what I believe in than live for anything else.Name Removed by Administrator ~Turtlefemm

insane
"Who did you think I was?" by John Mayer on his new album, Try! It's a pump-up song, during which he renounces his old acoustic-love-girl-getting style and sets the tone for the entire cd.

Comming up with a list of great songs that happen to be the first track on an album isn't too hard. Yes. :) Yes what? I ask you a question why you put those songs up, and all you come up with this? You're not stupid, right? Or are you just empty but to try to give yourself some content you come up with good songs, in that case you're just as bad as the community you despise in other topics. Bubsa
I like Jacqueline on Franz Ferdinand's first album - it's a nice, soft opening for a real rockin' album. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.

assassin_696
I think the cannon studded song, For Those About to Rock (we salute you), is nice intro to the album of the same name by AC/DC.
