22lucas Posted August 14, 2006 Share Posted August 14, 2006 great guide...although i do have one suggestion when i did desert treasure i was lvl 95 with 73 defense and 73 mage when killing the "ice guy" using mage and protect from melee i was quickly owned and had to teleport. So i was thinking...why put protect from mage on and wear the lowest quality armor against melee(mage armor). So with only 65 range at the time i wore my full red d hide and a coif. I ranged the "ice guy" and used protect from melee while his barrage splashed and never hit me once. I found this alot easier then maging and i suggest it should be put in your guide. Just protect from range/mage and shoot him with the range prayer on. I did it without the range prayer (there was no range prayer back then :P ), and I beat him. And yesterday, when I was helping my friend with the quest, he proved my method worked well. Retired 2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks. Speak to him and he will mention a Guilded Cross. That was an incy bit vague, i couldnt find him till i found a friend who helped. I found him to be very easy using only thirty prayer points and about 10 sharkies, 1 super def dose, 1 range pot. I have 71 range and ranged him quite easily. I started shooting off 10 (p) rune arrows, i switched to crossbow diamond enchanted bolts, which were much to slow, and then i ended best with MSB rapid addy arrows. I had ten sharkies left (if you included the 3 the ghastlys had eaten. A little more detailed directions to the graveyard. Head south east out of canafis, then directly south off the path. You'll find yourself at the jutting square edge of the map. Then you head a little more southeast trying to go southwest as soon as you can until you are parellel to the square you found earlier. If you're ranging i'd ***STRONGLY*** advise for protection from melee. The only hits i got were the 5s, which were nothing really when a sharkie heals 20. Go heavy on the food (tuna potatoes heal 22 each > shark's 20) and with 57 prayer i needed like 1 pot, but take 3 just in case. Also the guy to get the gilded cross to, isnt called Rasool, but Rasolo...
