when my girl got into it she would claw the [bleep] out of me. But she has crazy short term memory loss especially when she's tired so when I tell her the bat[bleep] crazy stuff she's done she thinks I'm lying. Like honey, I would know I was there.

That's what I used to think about motorcycles.

Hottest thing about motorcycles is the gas milage. 60 miles to the gallon just makes me so hot and bothered.

I have a crappy plastic back acoustic guitar that I was going to learn on.

 

That's when I noticed I'm both tone and pitch-deaf. My dad was having a mean cackle when he heard me trying to tune the guitar to the point where one of the strings snapped. If God was kind, his musical talents would've passed to me. (He almost went to Juliard on a full ride, but some stuff IRL got in the way.) Luckily he doesn't resent me for it, he just thought it was funny.

Use a tuner. I am probably tone-deaf by nature, but have learned to hear the sounds of correct tuning. Has taken nearly 2 years though, and I am still very much a newb.

I have one of those pitch pipe thingies but I couldn't afford a tuner at the time. I'll look into it though when I'm in a better place financially.

Have a mic built into your computer? If not, buy a $10 mic. Much cheaper than a tuner, and probably easier to use. The software is free.

You can just natural tune into standard or you just can find notes when tuning? Because being able to find a note while tuning is easy. Tuning a guitar from some unknown note into standard without any help, now that's hard/talent.

In my case, Dad has an acoustic, Brother has a bass he hardly plays.
