Kanto790
I only have 5M starting cash. You can look at my stats to suggest what I can do. Please do not suggest slayer as that is the most boring of skills to train. I want this much because I want to be rich as my brother. Thanks for your help :)
chenw
Given your skills, the things I suggest are: 1. Cutting Yews/Eucalyptus logs. They are slower, but they don't require any capital investment besides buying an axe. You need to complete As a First Resort.. for the latter though2. Barrows, though given your combat skills, you might find it tedious.3. Killing Green Dragons, sell the hides. sohkmj1
I'm not sure what quests you've done, but start doing Managing Thy Kingdom (preferably with the other quest you can get on the island). Do dailies (battlestaffs and such, there's a list somewhere). Start training your farming, I would recommend your highest level allotment, along with growing marigolds - those are about 3k each; at 32 farming grow ranarrs if you have money for the seeds (which you should), then move on to toadflax at 38. Beaumonde
1. Cutting Yews/Eucalyptus logs. You need to complete As a First Resort.. for the latter thoughJust for the record, you don't need to complete As a First Resort... to cut eucalyptus logs. They're east of Mobilizing Armies and you can bank there or use the spirit tree to travel to the Grand Exchange. Kimberly
You could try flipping. Collecting your daily stuff, like buying death runes (prices depend on GE) and unfinished bolts, etc. Planting herbs is steady income, albeit low. Though, it can be increased with obtaining juju farming potions. Manage Thy Kingdom is also a steady moneymaker. Killing green dragons for their bones is always good cash, though you can also collect infernal ashes from things like black demons or nechs. Troacctid
1. Cutting Yews/Eucalyptus logs. They are slower, but they don't require any capital investment besides buying an axe. You need to complete As a First Resort.. for the latter thoughWhy would you even say that? Have you ever actually chopped yews? They're 100k gp/hr at 99 woodcutting. That's not a good moneymaker. And eucs are 125k, which is not a good moneymaker either. You would literally make more profit mining pure essence or picking flax. chenw
I was under the impression that since WC is so popular (it is my highest ranked gathering skill of the 3, yet it is my worst ranked of the 3, by a LONG shot, I was assuming there was something with it), there might be money in it. I have never ever cut for money, so I don't know the profit per hour. Barrows yes, he'd be fine, but his lowish defence level, Verac and Guthan might trouble him a bit. 6,924th to 30 hunting, 13,394th to 30 summoning, 52,993rd to 30 DivinationKiln Record (Post-EoC): W 25 - L 0, 14 Uncut Onyx, 8 Jad hits received (Best record: Two in the same kiln)Obby set renewed post update #2: 0QBD drops: 21 crossbow parts, 3 Visages, 1 Kites, 2 KitsMax Port Score [2205] Achieved: 27th April 2013 (World 2nd) Farmyard Rampage ranking: 12th, 50,000 Kills. Quyneax
Barrows, using protect prayers.Green dragons, also using prayer, not neccesarily protect but at least the strength and attack boosting ones. If you got 82 magic you could barrow very well with polypore staff + ice blitz (max hits of 230 and 260, pps is 150-200 gp per cast and blitz about 2k). I realize 82 magic is a good bit ahead of most of your current levels, and it will cost a bit of money, but in the long run the increased kill speed is very noticable. I have never ever cut for money, so I don't know the profit per hour. Barrows yes, he'd be fine, but his lowish defence level, Verac and Guthan might trouble him a bit. WCing is AFKable, yields *some* profit, and easily botted. Pretty much all of the resource skills are useless anyway. I think the best is runite mining, but even that is beaten by dragons. Barrows, using protect prayers.Green dragons, also using prayer, not neccesarily protect but at least the strength and attack boosting ones. How effective is PPS + entangle? Yes, you lose 210ish dmg for that one attack, but you save a little money, don't have to switch books, and the level req is slightly lower. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
Quyneax
A barrows brother has a little over 1000 lp, you'll get 1 blitz cast + 5 pps casts or 1 entangle + 5 pps casts before they reach you. At 100% accuracy, I would say the chances of the total damage with blitz (1.28*(130+5*115) = ~900 on average) being enough to kill the brother are a lot higher than the same with entangle (~750 damage). If you have potions that doesn't change, entangle will still not kill the brother in 1 freeze and blitz does still have the advantage of not requiring prayer as often. chenw
I'd only use Entangle/Blitz if and only if it will result in saving you money compared to straight up tank and spank. If you use house to recharge your prayer, I'd use Entangle. Quyneax
I'd only use Entangle/Blitz if and only if it will result in saving you money compared to straight up tank and spank.I agree. One reason to use blitz is that it allows you to use robes instead of melee gear. It doesn't help very much except on Karil (you really don't want to tank Karil anyway, unless you're >90+overload+turmoil defence in Bandos). I think maging Karil with pps is better than whipping at equal attack/strength/mage levels, as his magic level is so much lower than his defence level. It saves a couple of switches too.
