I have a question should i get 70 prayer or bandos?

Get the prayer levels. Piety is far better than bandos.

70 prayer is going to increase your dps a lot more than bandos.

How do you make money though? If it involves using money (such as merching) i'd recommend just saving it up till you can afford turmoil, overloads, bandos... etc.

Bandos is one of the last things to get. The def isn't needed and the money would be better spent on a fury, zerker, extremes, turm, claws, etc.

I will say yes. I sold my BCP and never missed it, but I can never let go of my claws. If you train slayer at all claws are a must buy just because of the damage boost in Kuradal's dungeon.

OP is only 69 slayer... but anyway, I made a mistake. BCP should come before claws. Dragon dagger (and korasi's in a few cases) is quite good.

Bcp before claws for slayer but way after claws for bossing. You wouldn't use bcp at Nex, tds, Bandos god wars (unless crashing), glacors etc. which are the good money/effigy/charm bosses. You need claws at Nex/Graar/Tds for max gear (glacors is a bit iffy).

I don't think claws over DDS beats out BCP over whatever you're currently using (so long as it's not a fighter torso) if you're mainly killing dragons.

Wouldn't you say that claws especially in Kuradal's dungeon and the effect of the ferocious ring make it a must have for slayer? Especially considering the sheer amount of tasks that can be done in the dungeon. Combine with spec restores and I would put it well ahead of BCP even for slayer. I know this doesn't exactly work for the OP but I still feel claws over BCP.

I've done the math on this before and bcp is still superior to claws unless you have a torso. Tassets are superior as well. Consider that two dds specials instead of one claw special + one rapier hit is very powerful as well. I believe Grimy Bunyip has done the math on that and concluded that dds > claws on tasks below a certain defence. I don't remember the number but it was like 200-300 I believe, which is higher than the defence of for example bloodvelds, abberant spectres, black demons, dark beasts, dagannoth, hellhounds etc. So where bcp is an upgrade over no strength bonus at all (assuming no torso), claws have to compete with other spec weapons.

Pretty sure Korasi's sword still competes & is affected by slayer helm. I don't think you can hit 840s (base hit of 560) without fsh boost.

I've maxed (orange splat) with 515 korasi no spec in max strength-1 void deflector. (-1 was b gloves instead of goliath)

 

So if you've hit 560s on task, slayer helm works.

 

 

Anyway for the thread, i'd recommend claws over bcp. Because if you don't have enough money for both, you need to make some money. Now days, slayer is not a good way to do that. Bossing however, is.

This screenshots proves you can hit 841 in Kuradal's, translating to a base max higher than what should be possible in that gear without fsh effect.

I'm led to believe that the max hit splats are still not 100% accurate.
