Earth, a shock only means you don't feel a thing and you start shivering, with enough self control you can at least ride a bike onehanded. I know, I've done it.

Also that series of actions (after getting shot) lasts only 3 seconds, which is about half the time it takes the body to realize it is in great pain.

 

Also swords are for slashing, not stabbing.

I've been in shock, during which time I was not only aware but also annoyed by and trying to forget the fact that I was in shock, it started almost 15 seconds after I cut my chin and mauled my arm.

Ahuh. Call me when you aren't acting [developmentally delayed]ed anymore. Swords are meant for both stabbing and slashing, mainly stabbing seeing as that gets more damage done. Also you WOULD NOT be able to get close to him before he shot you multiple times.

I like the idea of small scale more...

Turns should be two days (Archi's turns are too complicated and would be abandoned almost immediately because of scheduling). Day 1 - Planning and discussion. Day 2 - Execution of plans and reports by moderator.

Its mainly so I have time to deal with other commitments, Aka Space. So I would prefer a 3 day system...not vital though.

 

President should decide budgets for each other role. President should also fill in for another role if that person is absent.

Team selection...People put their hands up, with a note if they want to be President, I pick two Presidents, they pick their sides.

Presidents can switch up their teams once they are playing.

 

 

The game is a committee game, not pure hegemony, and is set on a week to week basis...

 

 

Thus:

There will be three population counters for a country; Recruitables, General Population, Dissenters.

These will go up and down based on people's actions.

 

Vast discussions about Economics and such will be replaced with the mod saying 'If you do X there is a Y% chance of this and a Z% chance of this.' And will be done per turn.

 

Taxes will be collected monthly(every 4 turns).

 

Battles may or may not be over in one turn, with sieges and what not maybe tying up months of time.

 

Planes and armies take 1 turn to build, ships take two months(8 turns) to build.

 

Research will develop rapidly, but will cost money to upgrade/build.

 

Superweapons are allowed, but there is no super-anthrax to destroy them all.

MAther, not true. In all actuality, a person who broke into someones house will usually subdue them before they can call for help and/or go kamikazee failure on them. Which can also entail shooting them.

No, he would likely panic and shoot you several more times as self defence instinct kicks in, and at that point even if you did get the gun and incapacitate a criminal, you have two to three bullet wounds in your chest. If you aren't dead, you're going to have some serious problems.

Although its not really the expected answer I greatly prefer the top map, the below map is a bit cluttered. I would use the bottom map for a game where I was an army instead of the commander of an army.

Ross, if I was five meters away, how was Archi suspecting me to hand him the money? If he expected me to toss it then I would simply throw my wallet in his face, knocking him out (finally a use for small coins :razz: ).

 

 

Earth, I'm not rushing up to the criminal, I'm walking slowly, something which could be evidenced by the blood splatter. So even if I die I will have [bleep]ed up the criminal's life, which is all I need.

I am remined of John Cleese's commentary on Monty Python and the Holy Grail, where he is reminded of a story about two Roman Wrestlers who were locked in combat for hours.

Eventually one of them, his legs and arms broken, finally gave up, and the attendants had to come over to untangle them, and when they tapped the winner on the shoulder to tell him he had won, it turned out he was dead.

Which the person in Cleese's recollection had said was proof that if you could win if you never gave up.

 

 

Personally, I take it to mean if you never give up, you die.

Rocco is right, it would be impossible to cause any damage with coins, mythbusters proved it. However it would surely stun an attacker.
