I'm studying my lecture notes, but it would be helpful if someone who just happened to be familiar with this could help me better understand. Thanks. Icuownage
It's called Google :P. The Dark Lord
Zoology. I know some key concepts from it: -1:4 Hemoglobin-Oxygen molecule ratio (four being the max number that each hemoglobin can carry)-The greater the concentration of Oxygen, the more that can be bound to hemoglobin.-Less oxygen can be carried in lower pH (it's released)-Carbon dioxide lowers pH, as well as other biological processes (the production of lactic acid during exercise, for example)-Oxygen is carried in the blood from the lungs and released to the tissues. Carbon dioxide then binds to the hemoglobin molecules and is transported to the lungs and released in gaseous form in the alveoli (which is then exhaled out of the body). Do I seem to have it down, or is there more to it? SWAG Mayn U wanna be like me but U can't be me cuz U ain't got ma swagga on.

I'm pretty sure that oxygen is also released when the concentration of oxygen in an area is low (cells that need it)and binds to the hemoglobin when the concentration is high (lungs). Jehosaphat
Gratz on "pwning" the quiz. Btw....does not knowing what you are talking about make me dumb or something...I never got that far with any of my Science courses....nor my math courses, Or is everyone in the Tavern just Gifted or higher IQs? lolWell, we know Tech's pretty much a math genius who WON'T ACCEPT CALCULUS. And I tend to be smarter than the average bear. And Mather has mentioned that he has a different brain that makes him more capable when it comes to learning. So, that leaves.... just about everyone who either hasn't shown that they're freakin' geniuses or, well, aren't. Which is cool.
Grim_
I can attest that I am smarter than the average north american bear. I can't say anything about asian bears though... However I do not claim to be a genius, though I do rather well in most humanities courses (Not just because you can simply brow beat everyone else down with a large vocabulary). Nexaduro
We're creative. You are too, undoubtedly, you just don't apply it in the Tavern mentality sometimes. :) Grade-wise, my parents made me drop Geometry just as I was getting myself together (organization and motivation issues) so I wouldn't screw up my GPA more than I already had. Not like it freed up a period, neither hell nor high water could keep me out of that classroom even if I wasn't earning credits, and Math was actually one of my better classes (on good days :P ). I'm actually pretty sure I have lower grades than almost anyone else in my school who's not doing so bad as to be held back. But of course, that isn't necessarily a measure of intelligence, and everyone recognizes that my mind has rather significant quirks. But I digress. The Tavern just doesn't seem to attract people who don't have a certain flair, and each one of us is capable of presenting observations in one area that utterly confounds the others. It's just who we are. :D 10:53 PM - retech9691: I feel the need10:53 PM - retech9691: To include many chasms in my story arc10:53 PM - Resistance: You mean plotholes? Jehosaphat
However I do not claim to be a geniusWhoops, bad phrasing on my part. In no way do I claim to be a genius. In other news, I did some more "work" on the webcomic I'm planning on making. Also known as I made up more of the storyline. But, once I did that, I was still bored waiting for the next stupid test to begin, so I created a different story in my head. Which may or may not ever be brought out of my head due to the fact that it's disturbing. I might make it into a Tavern game, though.... which would be a fun addition to my already weird schedule. archimage_a
The distance between Insanity and Genius is measured only by success:Hegemony proves we are, at the very least, insane, so we are half way there! In terms of genius...Einstein was horrific at maths, Newton spent 30 years working on Alchemy, and Archimedes stole his ideas from ancient Babylon.Their achievements were not given to them on a plate, they were carefully worked out, over years...in many instances there was some random moment...The Bathtub, The Apple and WW2, which gave these ordinary people a leg up to greatness. We can, therefore, say that Genius is something that occurs...an idea or a way of thinking that advances the world/our own lives...It is not something that someone is or is not. The true measure of Intelligence is not in making sure everyone knows how brilliant you are, but in adding to your own knowledge...and you do this by quietly observing, by thinking and discussing...if you are intelligent then people will recognize it on their own. http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree. Ieyfura
Eh, I know you guys are all smart, some of you are being slightly humble with it. I just find that, I really don't know how to interact much here in the Tavern. Hence, I've kinda drifted away. Even with computer access, I don't find it within myself to join any games. Don't know why, seeing as I don't do much else besides work, gaming and dance. Oh well. We're all a bit weird in our own way I suppose. "Don't get in my face, don't invade my space. Ieyfura
Well, That's another thing. I much rather prefer to write out an RP than thos IRC games. I don't really think I'd fit in with the whole system. But, I'll give it a go one of these days and see how it turns out. I might end up enjoying it. lol "Don't get in my face, don't invade my space. Overall, just try the game and see if you want to continue playing, as that is how I got involved with the game. Resistance
The distance between Insanity and Genius is measured only by success:The definition of insanity is to do something over and over, expecting a different result.I never really agreed with that quote, I've done things that have resulted in the same result a number of times and there is a thing called probablity. If I try something five times then I may feel settled however what if some is a one in a thousand chance? I'd have to try it at least 10001000 before I truly knew what the probablity of a reaction was. IRC's intermittent with me thats why I don't play dungeoneering.
