April 10, 201214 yr I have level 99 thieving and not once in my life have I tried Pyramid plunder. I already know what it is, and I could easily look up guides on how to do that, but I have one question, just one question. Is it worth it? By that I mean do I get something besides just EXP? Thank you.
April 10, 201214 yr Not really, pyramid plunder is used for training and not much else. The Sceptre of the God's/Pharoh's Sceptre can be handy for teleportation options but especially with lodestones addition it's not hugely vital, there other viable methods and the Pharoh's one can be bought on ge anyway. Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue

In that case I think I'm gonna stick with pickpocketing knights.
April 10, 201214 yr The Scepter of the Gods 'allegedly' increases the chance of getting Ibis drops, so if you are looking to thieve to get 'something else besides xp' then I would definitely do Plunder just for the chance of an Ibis set. That being said, Ibis is incredibly rare & I went from 77 - 99 without seeing any parts, or a Scepter of the Gods from the last room :(

Sometimes in this game, having something that can't be brought is reason enough........
April 10, 201214 yr Pyramid plunder has a few rewards:Loot from urns (small gp value)Loot from chests/sarcophagi (high gp value but very rare)Black Ibis drops (increases thieving xp gain outside PP, extremely rare)Sceptre of the Gods (increases number of urns in rooms 7 and 8, provides additional teleport charges compared to regular sceptre, extremely rare and requires 75 rc to obtain) Basically, none of these are really great. If you want to thieve something for cash I suggest dwarf traders on the Keldagrim trading floor. April 10, 201214 yr Author If you want to thieve something for cash I suggest dwarf traders on the Keldagrim trading floor. I'm sorry, but I really hate doing that. Because every single time I get caught, I have to beat that big dwarf. And yes, I am trying to reach 200M thieving exp, but I prefer getting something more than EXP while doing it. It will take years to get anywhere near that if I pickpocket knights, I can live with that.
April 10, 201214 yr Try getting the Ibis, and then moving on to something else. Since you are trying to get 200m exp, it might be worth it in the long run.
April 10, 201214 yr Well, when I was rushing Pyramid Plunder(So, to floor 8 as quickly as possibile, and just open the chest and engraved sarcophague there) to get the Sceptre of the gods(I didn't :(), I got trinkets worth about 100k/h. I imagine it might be a bit more if you open chests and sarcophags on higher floors(maybe 5-8 or 6-8). Plus, I find pyramid plunder to be a lot more fun than pickpocketing :)
April 10, 201214 yr Do pyramid plunder, definitely. Not only is the xp rate lightyears ahead of pickpocketing knights, but if you're really worried about money, it's also the better choice. Just bank the artifacts and sell them later. April 10, 201214 yr monkey knife fighters is better exp and cash than knights. So is blackjacking anything. Master farmers are better cash by far selling seeds and with gloves of silence/ardy cape 3 you never fail. Plus around 90 k exp per hour. All of those are better and arguably more fun than knights Armadyl Drops : 4 Hilts; 3 Chestplates; 2 Chainskirts; 1 Helmet; 1 Buckler; 2 Shard 1; 2 Shard 2; 1 Shard 3Nex : 1 Zaryte BowKalphite King : 1 Drygore Rapier ; 1 Drygore Longsword : 1 Drygore Offhand Rapier : 1 Drygore Offhand Longsword
April 10, 201214 yr I'm sorry, but I really hate doing that. Because every single time I get caught, I have to beat that big dwarf. You can bribe the director you supported during the dwarf quests with some metal bars (2-4, up to mithril) to prevent the guard from attacking for 10 minutes. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
April 11, 201214 yr It sure is, because he'll keep the pipes unclogged and everything operating smoothly, which will minimize the chance that the tombs at the bottom will get flooded with sewage. I only read the thread title, not the responses, so my apologies if this has already been answered. The musings of a newbie going after his second thousand levels.
