April 27, 201214 yr Due to a lapse of concentration last night, i found myself leveling up Defense by accident. Now i'm not too upset because i did kind of expect it to happen sooner or later but now i'm kind of stuck on what to do. I have basically 3 options. Now my whole goal is to stay under 100cb. I have the option of getting 20 Def for Dagon'hai Robes, 40 Defense for Rune Pure or 45 for a Zerker. Initially i thouh i'd just go straight for 45 Def but i got kind pf discouraged by the amount of quests ill have to do and the cost to get Turmoil. I hadly doubt a Zerker is worth while without it. I'm pretty set on getting 20 Def now and doing the 9 or so Quests required for Dagon'hai Robes which would not affect my Cb Level too much either. But my question now is how do these pures perform in a PvP environment? I think i calculated my final Cb Level to be about 84 or 85.

That would put me over 80 cb and my plan is to do the kiln with sub 80cb. As it is 20 def will put me at 79 or 80 cb putting me right on the limit. Im still disputing getting 20 def before ot after the kiln, but d'hai robes will give me a huge advantage with the extra defense.

April 27, 201214 yr In that case, you can make an AHK script that runs a search to see if the skills tab is open and then puts a picture of 1 def over the 2. :P In all seriousness, there are plenty of pures that have a few def levels too many. I'd just stay 2 def and then train it to 20/45 whenever you get bored of it. Working on max and completionist capes. 2435/2475

April 27, 201214 yr If you're goal now would be to make your character eventually have soul split and turmoil, then you need 28 defence for it, and that's only from the experience from quests required for it.So if you wanted to, work towards a rune pure unless you want it to be a Curses pure (or whatever they're called) Visit my blog! April 27, 201214 yr Personally I would make a Storm of Armadyl pure over a 1 def pure anytime. Requires 65 defence, 50 prayer (plus quest reward, you get 51 I think?), 99 magic, 40 attack. However you can only get 40 hp if you want to stay 80 combat or below, so that's not viable (95 combat with 99 hp and 52 prayer, 92 prayer adds 5 combat levels - turmoil is not neccesary). I'd just go for that sub 80 kiln cape then move on to be a turmoil zerker or SoA pure. You can get 60 attack/89 strength without levelling combat (if you're 99 magic), but turmoil zerkers will get a higher boost from you then. Chances are i won't have a choice but to do this anyway. After doing one more quest i need to do, i'll end up with something like 340 exp till 21 Def instead of 20. That's one Claw/DDS spec and i'm looking at another failed pure :PI like this idea. I think i might stick to sub 80 Kiln, do it a few times, then move on to a Rune Pure.

April 29, 201214 yr Huge, probably. Vesta's has 5 strength over just torso + zerker helm, also around 10 more in each attack bonus, and double the defence overall. A zerker at 60 attack, 45 def, 95 pray and otherwise maxed is 99+12 combat. 65 def/90 strength is 101+12 and can use Storm of Armadyl. 65 def/99 strength is 104+12. April 30, 201214 yr If you're using a lot of vesta then you'll be ok - but it's not enough to base an account around an extremely expensive gear choice that keeps you pretty much edge-bound where youi'll get tagged and pjed just for the fact you have the audacity to wear armour they cant. 82 combat you'll fight a lot of range tanks, and baby zerkers without turmoil. You can beat the zerkers with vesta, but without it their venge counts for a lot, as do barrow gloves and rune defender. How maxed will you be at 82 combat? You'll also be fighting maxed 1 def pure hybrids, who wont let you spend much time meleeing them at all anyway if their any good. 20 deffers are a relic of the times pures just stood still beating on each other, the days of Hiei and Mahatma rolling around bashing up mains and 1 deffers with whips are gone. PvP armour will redeem you if you use it constantly, but i wouldn't choose that over a solid account that can do well even in welfare. I'm not trying to discourage you, but you have to be realistic. April 30, 201214 yr Author At mid 80 Cb is should have 95+Mage, Range and Str, 60 Attack and 52 Prayer.
