Avid43
I've been using Juju farming pots for ages but it really annoys me how long it takes to get the herbs to make them. Especially as I am 99 hunter and it feels like wasted xp. I get the Ugune Seeds by hunting common Jadinkos at a rate of maybe 1 seed per 140 Jadinko captures. Is there a better method to get the seeds? Can I buy them or do a different activity to accquire them? What do you guys do?
Hedgehog
Burning curly roots would be better (you need 83 firemaking and woodcutting).
Aiel
draconic's are probably better then commons, also. DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers ringsQBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow partsCR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size....It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty). Quyneax
My log shows 26 ugune seeds in 2218 commons, so you can get maybe 2-3 seeds per hour there tops. I think draconics will be 4-5 at least, firemaking I'm not sure but it'd certainly give you much more useful xp. Th e Doctor
Burning curly roots is your best bet. Do it until max favour. Set up Herblore Habitat to attract common and carrion jadinkos. Pay papa mambo to ward off commons and then go claim your reward. You will get only herb seeds. I did this twice (max favour before cash in) and I now have ~20-25 of each seed, 24 ugenes. At an average of 9 herbs per patch and using a scroll of cleansing 25 ugene seeds gives you ~757 doses of farming juju. If you do a run 8 times a day you have enough for 94 days of herb farming. It's also about 7.5 mil exp if you're farming torstols which brings you about 2 mil short of 99. Avid43
Thanks for the responses. So it looks like I could instead hunt Draconic Jadinkos or do the curly roots in the lair. I wouldn't mind getting 83 in firemaking and wc as they're not too slow. For now though I will adjust the habitat do I can hunt Draconics. As for getting 9 Ugune herbs p/patch, well that is waaay more than I've ever gotten. I think I only ever get 3 and thats using magic secateurs. What might I be doing wrong? I would love to get 9 herbs p/seed! :)

You can also use a farming juju on the patch as well (so come to HH during another herb run). Greenfingers should also help. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
Avid43
Oh I never considered Supercompost at HH before, it's obvious that I should have been. I have been using Greenfingers, but not a JuJu pot. So from now on, I will use Magic Secateurs, Supercompost, JuJu pot when I am harvesting my Ugune herbs and Greenfingers when planting. :)
Lord Paul
Yep, it's better to harvest your first ugune herb, make it into juju pot and then harvest the rest. You also can pay to protect the patch, which I would do for the first few patches until you have a lot of ugune. Working on max and completionist capes. 2435/2475

Make one potion with that herb, drink a dose, and then continue to harvest the Ugunes from the patch ;) EDIT: Just realized the post above me said the exact same thing lol
Avid43
If I have Greenfingers active when I plant my Ugune Seed will I still need to pay the 3 blue vines? I didn't think I would. Btw, I used the other tips last night and got 6 herbs which is a definite improvement, so thanks guys. :)
Quyneax
You need to pay three flowers still, greenfingers only helps while it's active. Hedgehog
You can't pay while greenfingers is active, right? Btw there's another patch on the nearby island, so use that too if you have the seeds.

Sy_Accursed
You should be activating greenfingers when harvesting, not just for planting. It only lasts 20mins with an hour recharge so activating for planting means you can't re-use it for harvest and it offers 3%+ yield on harvesting. Plus unless you are uselessly slow you can easily harvest and replant all 7 herb patches in game comfortable within the aura up time and still benefit from disease avoidance in the first few growth cycles via this. Avid43
When I do a normal herb run I activate Greenfingers at Trollheim just before I drink my Juju Pot. I can easily get to all 7 patches (if I need to) providing I use my Ardy cape tele while both Greenfingers and Juju pot are active. I generally don't farm Juju herbs that regularly though, only when I have the Ugune seeds, which isn't often. I got 61 Snapdragon off a run last night which is a new record for me off the 5 patches and a nice 600k profit in 5mins. :)
vleademir
I'm not sure if they increased the drop rate of herb seeds dropped by common jadinkos or not, but yesterday I got 5 Ugune seeds in 85 hunted commons. I was very surprised

I was very surprised Wow. I've taken over 3 hrs for one ugune seed before. 5 that quickly is very nice. For doing just herbs in a fast time, assuming you do troll but don't have troll patch teleport but do have catherby teleport and at least the once a day ardy cape teleport:1. Start at troll, get secatures, start greenfingers, start juju, harvest, re-plant and note.2. Ecto/Cabbage/Ardy/Catherby in any order.3. Tack on additionally if you have teleport bag or the witchdoc mask, teleport there for the juju herbs. If you do have trollheim direct patch teleport, start at ecto or herblore habitat instead. With that you should be able to easily get all 5 and probably get all 7 if you're lucky and especially if you don't replant till after juju runs out. Kind of implied some sort of separation between harvesting and planting in which Greenfingers was only used for the later. So I just clarified matters.
