July 16, 201213 yr It didn't work on multicore processors? I've never seen a program like that, usually they'll just use 1 of the cores. Yeah, it was weird. Just looking it up, it looks like the fix is just to set the affinity to one core, which is easy enough. Not sure why I didn't do that back in the day though. Oh well, $2.50 extra for one of the best games of all time won't hurt me :)

July 16, 201213 yr Bought New Vegas, still debating on whether or not I will buy Cave Story +. I'll wait for the next DD's and see if anything deserves my money more.I would say no. Humble bundle 6 (the previous one) had cave story+ included in it, and they've thrown humble bundle 1-4 up on the daily deals so far. So you can probably get it and like 6 other games if you wait.
July 16, 201213 yr So far I have gone for portal and portal 2 as a bundle. I am also looking at the hit man series, though I might just go for the last one. That series has been intriguing me for a while, but I've never bought any of them. So far deadspace 2 is the only game I've seen on sale that I already have, which is nice. I doubt it's the only one (and I never bought it on steam anyway), but it makes me a little sad. That said, I got more than my money's worth out of it, so I'll not be too upset. And KOTR does indeed work on multicores off steam without issue, though that's one of my buyer remorse games. Not really enjoying that one at all. I didn't know how it worked, I thought it was more like Mysteries of the Sith but more epic, and I think that difference has hurt the game in my mind.

July 16, 201213 yr It's a bad idea to buy Test Drive Unlimited 2. I wasted $10 on that game, and it crashes even before it starts loading. Stupid game.

July 17, 201213 yr AoE 2 Kings and Conquorers together is worth $10 I'd say. I have both, and they are my favourite RTS games after Red Alert 2. I also have AoE 3, and I do not like it nearly as much as it's predecessors. It's not like the jump from AoE 1 to 2, it's a fairly different game, and people who have not played its predecessors will probably enjoy it more. Got the portal games last night (don't know if I said it, or just thought it a lot). Good games, though not very long. Together I think I will have my moneys worth though. I am also going to get episodes from liberty city, to get the lost and the dammed which I don't have. Cheaper than going through the microsoft store and their stupid points shop that coincidently only lets you buy denominations that don't match any of their prices (so that you have to overpay). After that, I might keep an eye out for some more smaller games. I have decided to not get hitman. I have other games I am sure I would rather spend money on. Been looking at the Esther game, and it looks neat, but I guess it's also more of an interactive movie, and I already have Myst for exploring breath taking worlds (except the fourth one, because Myst isn't on steam :(). I'd get the whole gta pack but I don't think my computer will even run the 3rd one. I know my computer has a lot of trouble making vice city (which I got through steam) work, which is even more recent, so not something I want to risk money on, even if its only another $5 to get them all. Besides, I know its a rose tinted glasses situation, which is what I realized playing VC on my laptop (vista runs it better than win 7). Even SA has a lot of things that bug me now after playing IV, and I would rather leave III intact as the epic game it was, without ruinging it with the inevitable compairison to the latest games. It shall be imortalized as and awesome game with an awesome map, where by the time you were halfway through the game you couldn't explore half the places anymore without getting shot at :lol: Also, there were entire guides dedicated to getting that stupid plane off the ground. Good times.

You got KotN and Shivering Isles, the two biggest and best "DLCs" of the game. "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."
