Pink
Why do you ask? Nobody here is dead or has been dead, and nobody knows what happens when you are dead.
cocacolabottle
Who is to say who's dead or alive. I believe that man will never truely now the meaning of 'dyin', and we should stop fearing it. dwarfie76
What happens when you die: You stop breathing. You heart stops pumping. Neurological activity ceases and you become completely unresponsive to any stimulus. Your eyes remain fixed and the pupils dilate and do not respond to changes in light. You lose control of your bowels and bladder. Your body begins to cool toward room temperature. Gravity begins to draw the blood in your body to the lowest point. The skin takes on a pale appearance and the muscles tighten and stiffen. Bacteria begin to attack the dead tissue giving off gasses and causing your body to bloat. Rigor mortis ends as enzymes attack the tissues and the skin loses adhesion with the underlying tissue. After a time the bacteria cause the blood still contained in your circulatory system to darken giving the body a 'roadmap' appearance. Eventually the attack on the corpse by bacteria, fungus and insects (and in some cases birds and animals) cause the flesh and organs to putrefy and become liquid, shearing off the skeletal structure. I think he meant what happens to your essence/soul when you die. My heart is broken by the terrible loss I have sustained in my old friends and companions and my poor soldiers. Believe me, nothing except a battle lost can be half so melancholy as a battle won. -Sir Arthur Wellesley
