XxTearGodxX Posted February 12, 2013 Share Posted February 12, 2013 So lately for the past few months I've been really bored of the game, it feels like I'm in a slump that I can't get out of. I've been playing since the days of classic, while not all of my stats are maxed lots of them are in the high 80s-90s. I had set myself a goal to get 95 slayer so I could kill ganodermic beasts and accomplished that but I went to fight them and got bored of them quick :/ Each time I log in which is pretty much only once a day now aside from logging in multiple times a day i only play for maybe 1-2 hours at most and 30 or so minutes of that time is spent staring at my bank before I decide to go chop ivy. I guess I'm just upset at the direction the game is going, with Solomon's shop and all. I kind of like the evolution of combat but I kind of don't as well. Runescape was more FUN in the past... where we complete a quest to buy good stuff...now runescape became about killing bosses and money.. no real goal.. no more FUN! I have been playing since early beginning of rsc. and i have gone through similar ups and downs numerous times. If you don't feel like playing, don't. I have always come back in 6-18 months and found I enjoy the game a whole lot yet again. So don't worry about not enjoying the game like you used to, like many things in life it will probably pass. If not then ohwell, you probably don't have to play RS for your whole life anyway. That's what makes this game great, you can come back in a year and see that the game that you once loved is still there - evn if it is somewhat changed. When you give yourself an opportunity to take a step back and see the game from a distance, you'll begin to see how much it matters to you. If you find it doesn't matter at all, look for something else. I find it helps to have multiple, different gaming interests at the same time. I'm currently playing Civilization 4 and RuneScape, for example. But CHANGE your password first, because it seems that if you don't log in for a while, you always log in and all your stuff is gone. At least that happened to me the last time I took a break D: Change your password consistently, too. But I feel you. Solomon's Store and the Squeal are just more ways for them to suck money out of you. I wonder how much loss they'd have if people stopped buying that and only paid for membership... It is very rewarding to come back to the game after a long break and be able to jump right back into it. Don't give away your stuff or otherwise sabotage your account, you will regret that later. I sold a red phat on the GE back when there wasn't free trade for about 300m, and I come back to the game to find they are worth like 2B. That hurt. It's nowhere near as exciting as I hoped it would be. I have a bunch of bonus xp pendants sitting in my bank. I don't even feel like using them.
