Was not taking staking seriously, lost a few big(800m/full 3a) stakes in a row but had a fun few days.

I managed to get a White Partyhat and a Santa yesterday. Longtime RS goals complete, even if they don't mean the same now. I'll upload a pic in just a minute. :)

Still haven't played since like March. All I do is log on for less than a minute every day to keep my kingdom approval at 100%.

 

Collected nearly a full 7.5M in investments today. Last time I withdrew was here.

 

 

 

I think I got around a 350% return on my investment.

 

26.7M gained from less than an hour spent on RS over the past several months. Beats the hell out of grinding for hours on end :D

 

Next collection day is December 16, 2013. Will probably have around 45-50M by then.

@Muggi Too bad chins went up so much that the 26M won't cover 99 ranged :(. Still planning on not playing now that GWD is a for sure thing?

 

@999134 you're both incredibly lucky and unlucky. I'm incredibly tempted to do stupid stakes like that, but every time I do big (aka 2m) stakes I end up cleaned on my pure. Guess it's 200-500ks till I get 10-20m in stake wins and can start doing mil stakes.

I'll still be keeping MTK at 100% every day since it requires such little effort and gives an awesome ROI, but I'm unsure about actually spending that money someday since I work 60-70 hours per week and don't really have time to play anymore. I like having a large pile of cash and it'll kill me a bit to have to spend it all in one place (i.e. 99 range/mage). But I also worry that GWD will severely unbalance the economy, moneymaking, and PvP just like it did originally in 2007. No point in training my ranged/mage for PK'ing if PK'ing isn't any fun to begin with because of all the [kitties] that AGS rush-spec you then teleport out.

 

Kind of disappointed to see all of the "radical" and "new" updates coming to 07Scape but I can't say that I didn't see it coming eventually. It's unfortunate that I am now in the minority when it comes to voting polls, but that's just something I'll have to accept and deal with if I ever am to return to the game.

Back on topic, why do you set yourself a date - is it more profitable to collect on a certain amount of days? Somewhere I read that it's better on every tenth day, not sure if that was myth or not though.

IIRC, the 10th day collection is only good compared to collecting every single day. If you collect maples after one day, you'll get like 892 maple logs or something and 8 nests (1 nest per 100 logs). So 8 nests per day, whereas if you waited 10 days you'd get 89 nests (instead of 80 nests after 10 days of collecting every single day).

 

Sadly I don't have any of my old vids anymore; they were on my old old computer and I reformatted the harddrive on it so they all got erased :\ I uploaded a few old vids on youtube a while back though: http://www.youtube.com/user/muggiwhplar/videos

Too bad GWD prices crashed so hard compared to real 07, gonna be around 10-10.5M for a 4-man split versus the like 30M it woulda been a week post-GWD in 2007.  Still, can't complain about a hilt drop, especially since we got an SS earlier in the trip too, so that's a solid 12-13M :D
