Just wondering wen phats came out they cost 50gp each.. then pink became rarest after about 1 year selling for 10mill.. then they dropped again due to duping they dropped to about 5mill or somthin then they shot up from 10mill to 60 mill to 160 mill etc etc phats wer the first real worthwile holiday drop Just wondering.. Santa hats.. the prices keep fluxuating from 4-5mill atm eventually my guess is that they will rocket up in price in exess of 100mill over the next coming years due to carelessness people accidently dropping them and dieing with them or them just dissapearing same will happen to phats and etc untill thers like 1 or 0 left in the game wen they are just priceless... like 1bill for a phat or santa thats just my opinion i think that if u have santa hats.. hold on to them because eventually given time they will rocket up just like phats did What are ur oppinions on the matter Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

However, if their current growth continues, they should be at least 50mil in under two years. Not because of your reason of: eventually my guess is that they will rocket up in price in exess of 100mill over the next coming years due to carelessness people accidently dropping them and dieing with them or them just dissapearing , but because of their exponential rates. Since in general wearable items have increased 10x per year, technically in two years they should be 500mil, but I just can't see that happening and inflation being that great. But anyways, just about any wearable rare is a good investment, since you're guaranteed growth. Just don't expect santas to be extremely rare any time soon. SenorTamale Posted February 9, 2006 Share Posted February 9, 2006 What are ur oppinions on the matter That your trying to raise prices by stating the obvious. agreed.. this is what we call what everyone figures out when they start getting cash and looking at the history of the rares market. but rares in general are past the point of rising naturally due to increasing rarity.. it's just mass speculation and manipulation. there's just too little demand for santas, and whenver they jump up 500k for whatever reason everyone jumps and tries selling, driving the price back down.. pretty sad.. but they won't really go up massively until some of the phat owners switch to them and pump more money into the market. People think they will go up, but since everyone knows about P-Hats sky rocketing and have gained knowledge that Santas may do this thats why they stay down. He is a PHD student and yet doesn't seem to know how to spell. I had always thought 'when','your' and 'their' fairly easy words for a PHD student to spell. Not to mention that isn't at all relevant to the topic. Anyway back on topic. When the party hats first entered rs people weren't quite sure what to do with them and they were just seen as a novelty. The game also had a fairly low player count at the time. So basically it resulted in quite a few of the p hats being lost/sold. However by the time santas were dropped people knew that rares had a place in the marketplace and could make the player quite a bit of money. So everyone stockpiled as many as they could. They were also dropped in fairly large numbers.
