Quyneax
No, but if you were doing a task for sub 10 solo med you wouldn't be doing any of that. Quyneax
I'm not sure if DGS is a reasonable/realistic standard to hold the entire community to.Of course not, the point is that people shouldn't think that 15 min meds are 'decent' (for a 200 cb/70+ skills player) - there are a lot of different things you can improve on, one of them is bound to work for you. When I averaged 11-12 mins I thought I was going as fast as I could, but a few levels later I was down to 10 mins average, which is still not great but a big improvement nevertheless. Too many people treat Dungeoneering as they would cutting ivy - complaining they can't get advertised rates when just starting out. That is not how this skill works. For some skills, xp/h increases only with level (ivy). For some, it doesn't increase at all (prayer). For some, it increases with IRL experience (dg, to some degree combats especially when training with glacors etc.). @HunterDexter: http://www.xp-waste.com/official-dgs-guides-and-other-resources-t2328.html Supporter of Zaros | Quest Cape owner since 22 may 2010 | No skills below 99 | Total level 2595 | Completionist Cape owner since 17th June 2013 | Suggestions 99 summoning (18th June 2011, previously untrimmed) | 99 farming (14th July 2011) | 99 prayer (8th September 2011) | 99 constitution (10th September 2011) | 99 dungeoneering (15th November 2011) 99 ranged (28th November 2011) | 99 attack, 99 defence, 99 strength (11th December 2011) | 99 slayer (18th December 2011) | 99 magic (22nd December 2011) | 99 construction (16th March 2012) 99 herblore (22nd March 2012) | 99 firemaking (26th March 2012) | 99 cooking (2nd July 2012) | 99 runecrafting (12th March 2012) | 99 crafting (26th August 2012) | 99 agility (19th November 2012) 99 woodcutting (22nd November 2012) | 99 fletching (31st December 2012) | 99 thieving (3rd January 2013) | 99 hunter (11th January 2013) | 99 mining (21st January 2013) | 99 fishing (21st January 2013) 99 smithing (21st January 2013) | 120 dungeoneering (17th June 2013) | 99 divination (24th November 2013) Tormented demon drops: twenty effigies, nine pairs of claws, two dragon armour slices and one elite clue | Dagannoth king drops: two dragon hatchets, two elite clues, one archer ring and one warrior ring Glacor drops: four pairs of ragefire boots, one pair of steadfast boots, six effigies, two hundred lots of Armadyl shards, three elite clues | Nex split: Torva boots | Kalphite King split: off-hand drygore mace 30/30 Shattered Heart statues completed | 16/16 Court Cases completed | 25/25 Choc Chimp Ices delivered | 500/500 Vyrewatch burned | 584/584 tasks completed | 4000/4000 chompies hunted

PolarBearBlue
I wonder what kind of level requirement are needed for the Elite part of this. Obviously a high Dungeoneering level would be required for one task but I am curious as to what that second one would be. Any player with mid 80 stats all and half, or most, of the quest requirements can do all hard dairies and half the elites. It's those 90+ requirements that have you going back to Evil Dave's Basement of DOOM with your Hellcat. But this time I'm thinking there would be one high Dungeoneering level task (reaching a certain floor probably) and one high level inside a dungeon that would require a upper 80 to 90 stats and someone with 96+ herblore (without boost). I can imagine Jagex having a task like "Unlock a 100+ level gathering skill door". Of course consider Dungeoneering is like a mosh pit of skills I can imagine Jagex making it really "Elite" and require 90+ stats in every task. But that would make me one sad bear. Hedgehog
I think it'd be reasonable to have some tasks that go all the way up to 120 (or 113, more realistically) because you need 120 dg for comp anyway. Something like equip a primal 2h would make sense for an elite task.

HunterDexter
You know solo players rarely come across primal gear? :s Or those slayer creatures... I've never seen an edimmu; let alone a soulgazer. And that's with 99 slayer since dungeoneering came out. In the 35m exp I did, all I've seen are three seekers.

Oddly enough 120 dungeoneering is a long term goal of mine, but I think it would rustle a LOT jimmies to require Primal 2H. Not everyone is going going for max cape or comp cape (crazy right) and I can hear the cries of angry scapers upset they need 99 attack to do this task. But in all honestly if they did that I wouldn't be mad. This would probably make the task actually feel like "elites". Beside the fact that this would screw quite a lot of people over, this could also be a bottleneck...I don't think that would be a bottleneck. The example in the first post is a bottleneck because there is only one KBD per world, and if "Kill the KBD" was a task, the KBD would be crowded and hinder everyone. If an Elite Daemonheim task was "obtain a Primal 2h sword drop", then getting the drop would complete the task for up to five players at once. But such a task will not happen, because as mentioned in the first post, "Avoid as much as possible random chance e.g. random drops"

I wonder how party mechanics will play into it, since that's the main thing that (they think) makes the skill unique. It might make for some tasks where you only have to be on a floor with someone who completes it, but that would again lead to people leeching their way to victory. Maybe "Have one member of your team recieve and wield a T11 item, or fight the boss with your own T11 item bound"? On the topic of T11 items, would a reward that allows T11 forgotten enemies to have a small chance to drop their equipment instead of T10 be reasonable? Sy_Accursed
Solo players just not coming across T11 is a lie.Since they retweaked T11 drop rates you can get them quite easily solo.Of ~20 T11 drops I have seen/had 12 have been whilst soloing, and of the 8 seen in team games most have been useless like primal shield etc. However I think T11 appearing in anyway beyond 'hold/wield a t11' item is unlikely as they are still reasonably rare.
