February 22, 200620 yr Orbital, Aphex Twin, Massive Attack, Clint Mansell Those a probably a bit snythy as you mentioned u like the floyd so if you want more lyricly weird try Ayreon or some other rock operas Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. If we let players start doing this, it devalues RuneScape for others. We feel your status in real-life shouldn't affect your ability to be successful in RuneScape" Jagex 01/04/01 - 02/03/12
February 22, 200620 yr There are plenty of Ayreon songs that are musically weird too, especially on The Electric Castle album. February 23, 200620 yr massive attack sounds nice. try "teardrop" it's a great song to sleep to. also, of montreal is a wonderful band. extremely quirky "wraith pinned to the mist" "penelope" "so begins our alabee" those are all scrumptious :)
February 23, 200620 yr Team Sleep have got some pretty chilled out trippy elements in some songs. Kirk and Lars I could handle. At the same time.
February 23, 200620 yr Gentle Giant are strange and great. Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.
February 23, 200620 yr The Flaming Lips Ghost: I am prejudice towards ignorance, so that would explain why I appear to be so.
February 23, 200620 yr I'm not too sure if Radiohead would work, but maybe. Probably not though. I definitely felt a bit "abducted by aliens" when I first listened to 'OK Computer', so go for it!
February 23, 200620 yr Pink Floyd Pink Floyd Pink Floyd Pink Floyd Pink Floyd Pink Floyd Pink Floyd Pink Floyd Pink Floyd Pink Floyd Pink Floyd Pink Floyd Pink Floyd Pink Floyd ..........and Pink Floyd *edit - just noticed you said them already. :P Um.. The Who, The Kinks, 311, Depeche Mode, Bob Marley. <-- all good
February 23, 200620 yr Yes - Suprised no one has mentioned them, one of the best psychadelic bands to be found. Transatlanic are pretty cool as well. Dreaming of that face againIt's bright, and blue, and shimmeringGrinning wideAnd comforting me with it's three warm and wild eyes
February 24, 200620 yr Yes - Suprised no one has mentioned them, one of the best psychadelic bands to be found. Transatlanic are pretty cool as well. i thought Yes was progressive rock. or are they both? also Hendrix is a pretty well known guy. he's got some trippy lyrics and sounds.
February 24, 200620 yr I'm not too sure if Radiohead would work, but maybe. Probably not though. radiohead's great. esp the song, subterranean homesick alien
February 24, 200620 yr i thought Yes was progressive rock. or are they both? I'd say both, Yes. Certainly try and get some Yes. deviantart account
February 24, 200620 yr Not a band, but an album. We're only in it for the money. By the Mothers of Invention. It combines a lot of different rock styles from different era's and is basically a mockery of the hippe era and life in America. Due to the combination of the various rock styles and 'different' vocals and excentric compositions you can deff. label this as pshycadelic. Listen to the entire album, not just a few songs. Easily one of my fav. albums. It's like nothing you've ever heard before, that's a promise. Tracklist: 1. Are you hung up? 2. Who needs the peace corps? 3. Concentration moon 4. Mom & Dad 5. Telephone conversation 6. Bow tie daddy 7. Harry you're a beast 8. What's the ugliest part of your bodie 9. Absolutely free 10. Flower punk 11. Hot poop 12. Nasal retentive calliope music 13. Let's make the water turn black 14. The idiot bastard son 15. Lonely little girl 16. Take your clothes of when you dance 17. What's the ugliest part of your body (reprise) 18. Mother people 19. THE CHROME PLATED MEGAPHONE OF DESTINY For first time listening don't just play at your PC while playing RS or something. Put it in your CD player, grab the lyrics with you and really listen, it's a great experience. Don't expect mind-gripping guitar solo's either, percussion is great though. In case you might wonder when you hear it, "Flower Punk" is indeed based on "Hey Joe" by Hendrix. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
February 24, 200620 yr Yes, definately Yes. Particularly Tales From Topograhic Oceans. Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.
