Why did he get banned? there is nothing in the rules about giving away money...

unless he was selling money for real money you can give away as much as you want in runescape..

I support this rule all the way. I'm worried about this because in my house I have 2 computers. We both share the same internet so we both have the same IP address. I always play RS with my sister one on each computer and we always help eachother out by giving eachother whatever we need. Now every time I log into runescape I just can't help thinking will I get banned? Will this past year on runescape be a waste of time?

I believe Jagex should remove this rule or somehow look into it before banning someone.

Well i support, but it's not like JaGeX will get rid of it... i know, sad but true.

support ^_^

ive loaned stuff, shared loots and all those, allways in affraid of marks

dragonfhpcape,It%20is%20girl.gif

I do multi log in and i'll tell you why i break it

1)i have two ppl in my house that plays rs from the computer and it's not fair when we can't trade

2)I use extra space or something

3)back ups if i ever get hacked i use the bank to keep some of my stuff (e.x. I have two rune axes, 1 is held by 1 name and one by my main)

that is the three main resons people break rule number 8

I know what happens if i get caught, but i kinda suport and kinda don't

i suport on let two ppl trade on the same computer, or let there friends help

but don't completly expell the rule

I fully support this. Rule 8 sucks, the less ionnocent people getting banned the better

this is a petition to either completely abolish rule 8 or urge jagex to make a closer look when engaging the rule whilst banning people.

i was shocked when seeing even famous are being caught by this jail bait now!

Rule 8 is a rule against "multiple logins", which look like this:

rule87hb.th.jpg

Rule 8 was made by jagex to counter scammings or autoers transporting their "goods" to their main account or opening a new account for more bank place (known as mule)

Rule 8 bans multiple account running under a same computer or under a same ip as well as single direction trading (one side gives absolutely nothing)

however the fact is:

a wide range of honest and innocent players are being affected by this rule and got banned permanently or black marked.

these players either are:

1) internet users running under internet connection sharing or local area network which has the same ip (family, school, internet cafe, workplace situation or the whole building has its own LAN)

2) school gamer or real life friends (they usually give or borrowing things free often)

3) os emulator users (soneone less affordable and need to share a single computer)

4) a really nice guy (someone who give out free stuffs often using trade windows)

in fact, rule 8 is pointless, the anti-marco (rule 7) and anti-scamming (rule 4) rules which provides enough power to punish whom who play the game unfairly.

Watching a noob wearing party hat wielding an obsidian cape or a pure using expensive stuff does not seems any extra unfair advantages to us, they just yet another fruits of hard work.

i personally would rather endure to see more noobs in their expensive gears rather to see people being banned by this rule innocently and myself entering the waiting list of going to be banned by this rule 8...

please and welcome to express your views on either you support me or not, thanks

I can a MILLION percent confirm that Jagex won't ban you if you are playing with your family members/school/internet cafe/etc...

I know this for sure. They watch very carefully.

If someone has been banned then they HAVE broken a rule.

I support this petition as me and mt daughter both play off a lan in my house and it would suck if either/both got banned

Neither of you will ever get banned unless you break an actual rule.. The thread creator either doesn't know what he is talking about, or indeed someone who wants to trade with his other account, or cheat in some way.

supported, this rule is stupid.

Dragon Drops: D spear x 2, D skirt, D half-shield, D axe, D 2h

Barrows Rewards: Ahrims hood, Karil's Coif, half key x 6, D med, torags legs, veracs flail

Personally, I support drop trading (support, not practice.). But multiple logging in? no...

What if that pure could get his other pure and his main to help him own you? Just... no...

A WoW system on sending money would be nice.

7 months ago, shoulen m0nk lured me for everything. If you know anything about him, pm me.

lol that was a good story but his eyesight must be poor... it's a well known fact that mods only drop garages on players.

This is a garbade rule. One day we should all just go to like Varrock and just strike  that'll get Andrews mind of his riches.

EDIT: I support you.

I support you , i play with my brother and we are not enough rich in order to have 2 internet connexion!

i agree but jagex must do it like this cuz they cant SEE the difference between 2 friends lending items and 1 person trading over stuff to its other account.

although i support!

i support, it pisses me off... when nubs say "OMG your double logging in!! im reporting you" :shame:

i see ur point

i agree

but jagex will never take out a rule

they might, they might not, it is their game, they can do whatever they want...

they had add new rules, they can do stuff like the removing the swiftswitch bad...

but we dont really need them to take out the rule... of cause the best is they do take it out...

if we can get their attention and care more when they decide to ban people via rule 8, then we are in a success...
