But eventually I decided to bite the bullet and watch it with the promise of sun and hot girls. Well yeah, there is, but it's all so sickly it's unbelievable. They're all good looking characters/actors living in California in massive houses having pool parties and walks on the beach at sunset all the time and they all have loaded parents. Sickly, really sickly. I agree about the music, I can't bear to hear that song by Phantom Planet anymore. It's just all too commericialised. I dont care about the acting really....you can cry if the characters dont give you a buzz inside or you can go off and watch Schlinders List, your choice. The show is a form of entertainment obviously not going to be enjoyed by everybody...beleive it or not not everyone in the world is American, im sure alot of people, myself included find the show appealing because it gives us a kind of insight into american culture. Yes i relaise its not entirely realistic but its entertainment, the show has fans so obviously its doing something right. That's not really American culture though :\ that's a tiny subsection of American culture. The bad stuff is ignored, and never seen.
