Topaz129
Hello I always thought that this would fall under the "offensive language" rule but saw a player mod saying it today. I don't find it offensive but as there are young players it isn't exactly appropriate considering the status of this player. What do you think? punk4ever
F - rank yea? F - luff yea? There is no implication here to what he meant to say. The person did not evade the censor by spelling the word differently. They did not direct the remark at anyone. I feel you are only singling them out because it is a player moderator and you would have disregarded it if it were anyone else. Topaz129
It's quite obvious what he said, I wouldn't have posted otherwise. Whether the remark is directed at anyone does not make it any less offensive. It is what it is regardless. The reason I posted this one in question is because I was curious as to whether or not a player of that status had broken the rules. If I was singling this individual out I wouldn't have blocked out their name.
hello_bacon
there is a very definite implication as to what he is saying. By this I mean put 10 ppl in 10 different rooms, and tell them that if they each come up with the same interpretation they get a cookie. Since they want the cookie and this has a very definite interpretation, all 10 ppl will come out with the same answer, and it will be the offensive word that the thread starter was thinking of. Also, you should have reported this mod... they're supposed to be examples of all that is good and not kiddieish... and this is immature behaviour for a mod. While the above is correct, given the situation it is pretty obvious what he meant ;) While he did not evade the censor, and I am not remotely worried by what he said, someone may be.I know you're a Pmod Punk, it's a conspiracy! Topaz129
Also, you should have reported this mod... they're supposed to be examples of all that is good and not kiddieish... and this is immature behaviour for a mod. I thought about that at the time but as I was not sure whether a rule had actually been broken I didn't. I'd hate to think what the repercussions could be of falsely reporting a player mod.
Iantiger
He/She was probably talking with friends and it's obvious that it wasn't being used in any form of abusive context. Coupled with the fact that he/she didn't even use the full word and just the starting letter, I don't see that it's that much of a problem. Player mods are only human after all - as long as they don't go spurting out profanity every second - there's no harm here. ~Ian Retired Tip It Moderator | Zybez Radio DJ - Listen Here
Lightning
no rule has been broken if i remeber the rules correctly. Though pmods are suppose to set a example to other users ;) I have been known to accidently say something on rs when not thinking, we only human. Providing the mod involved isn't using it to spam chat or over using it, then i see no rule breaking there. If in doubt u can always ask jagex themselves. Kaaslip
This topic is pretty pathetic in my eyes. "Oh noes! A mod said F yea!!!!!one!!1" Seriously, just leave the guy alone.
Mullein
Stop for a minute and think about this... Yes it was a mod and yes you know what he said...and yes as a mod he or she probably ought to watch thier P's and Q's better...But...Do you really want this to be an issue? Because if you managed to get Jagex tighten the rules and come down on the mod those same rules would apply to the general public as well and all letters even remotely related to a cuss word would get you banned or muted or strung up with a wet rope in some dark basement somewhere. Seems to me if you would want a mod to not make an issue out of you saying for example: OMG it's a d-Chain!!! Then you ought to offer the same to other players...mod or not. Because in the end that is what mods are...other players...just ones with slightly better reporting systems. Mully
RockyMaivia
Hmm, this is ridiculous....The censor is to keep little kiddies from being exposed to words they shouldn't be. If the kiddie knows their swear words enough to interpret the "f yeah" as, well you know, then the censor wouldn't matter anyway because they already know that word...Now, going around the censor and spelling words out with different letters that make the word sound the same as a swear word, well that's a bit different. People (jagex included) need to get their panties out of a twist over this...Yeah, some kids play RS, but it doesn't mean all of us will always have our "i'm a kindergarten teacher" hat on...Lots of us are older and the way we act around our peers normally will naturally come out sometimes by accident... I mean it's like taking someone from the southern states and putting them up north and expecting them to never say "y'all"...Obviously it's gonna happen on accident sometimes, even if they know they're gonna catch flak for it. oldschoolrs
I believe your just trying to rat out a mod. If this was anyone else you wouldn't have batted an eye. As others have said, mod's do make mistakes, although I would personally question the definition of mistake. Just play the game, report things that actually offend you. 8)

If he meant "Fluff ya" I think he would have typed it...a lot of people break rules constantly, it's hard to hold a conversation with out breaking a rule :P I wouldn't destroy this guys crown over one letter, but I'd deffinately send him a message and tell him to watch what he implies. Anyone else could have reported him imedietly for it
