Wow, you have a career in media coming up. "He stabbed a guy!!" You just neglect to mention it was with a pencil >.< Unless he stabbed him in the eye or through the throat it's not really that bad.

Chucking a couple of smallish rocks at my brother when I was about twelve. It was some mixture of hormones and diabetes anger, plus he was just being stupid at the time. I think my parents were more concerned about me breaking a window (threw at him and he was by the house) than actually hitting him...

Wow, I chocked a kid at school because he took our handball spot. Only reason I stopped was because he finally got a punch to connect and got me in the eye. We saw the vice principal and he went off at the other guy, and not me. Parents didn't even talk to me about it.

Woah man. 12 year old Riku was a pimp.

I was also offered... oral sexual favors by one of the neighborhood girls and my brother's friend showed me her boobs.

My childhood was interesting....

Couldn't resist.

To be on-topic, I got grounded for 6 months because my parents thought I had a Facebook account. Funnily enough, I didn't have one, but when I got my computer back, the first thing I did was make a Facebook account. Oh, the irony.

What are you, 7? My uncle is as holier-than-thou as Catholics come, and his kids still have facebook.

Nah, you're about a decade off.

Let's just say that my parents don't trust anything on the Internet, not even the banks. This was years ago when facebook was starting out, mind you.

Well they got a good mentality to avoid getting their identity stolen from the bank idea, but Facebook? Some parents make me wonder how the [bleep] they ever were young.

And probably watched Hollywood techno-horror films where a school kid hacks and starts World War 3, turns an innocent person into an outlaw, or murders somebody thru the internet with the rising media coverage over identity theft makes them scared of the internet. They must of had new technologies their parents were unreasonably scared of, and their parents must of had technologies their parents were unreasonably scared of: like the auto-mobile, phones, television, weed, or disco clubs.

It's easy for us to criticize since we grew up with the thing, not so much for someone who spent most of their lives without the internet and suddenly it's invaded every aspect of life. It doesn't help that behind all of the misinformation there are very real dangers that many young people don't seem to know about.

It's not really reasonable to say "If they don't know about it, they shouldn't be using it" anymore either, since you really can't do much today without it.

Plus, we have a number of groups that don't exactly make a good impression... PR is not Anonymous's strong point.

Lol, and what's worse with that statement is that it 's much easier to get your identity stolen using Facebook than it is with bank websites.
