Unexplained Instant Deaths

Deserted areas? Tears of guthix is a popular enough place, I'd reckon at least 10 people visit it every day, if not alot more. If it was a pre-existing problem, why werent there more reported cases beforehand as well? It'd be in Jagex's interests for it not to appear like there are problems with the entire game's underlying engine.

 

I didnt see it happen though, so dont know about those strange messages either. Although, something weird did happen near there today, on my way back from ToG minigame, I walked past some guy, then jumped over the rock as standard, got caught up with the wall beast, then suddenly on the mini-map a white dot(as in another player) flew in from the top left, and landed near the river/stream thing with a rock in it. According to him, all he had just done was jump over the rock, but it looked like he had flown in from well outside the caves somewhere.

Um...if this is the thread you were meant to post this in, post some more credible info. You have given nothing to go on, and really, that just looks like some sort of sob post. You may also have lost all your money if you were foolish enough to use same passwords on both these sites.

Being hacked and having mony stolen has nothing to do with this thread. This thread is about people randomly dying. It has nothing to do with hackers getting into your account and stealing money.

I heard about this from a friend, I was in taverly dungeon at the time with 700k worth of ranging gear, so I got the heck outta there! I went to world 23 and it was deserted, apparrently people were dying en masse in Fally square from this bug

No, from what I'm hearing it's just coming up and randomly one-hitting them. People would have said if it was from a random event that they ignored.

 

That's why I said it could be a 'flawed' event. I guessed a random event since it seems to have been happening in different places.

I wouldn't say that it doesn't happen in F2P worlds just yet. A friend of mine, yesterday or the day before, told me he was 1-hit whilst training on spiders or something like that. Bestsob, You might no who he was! His name had "D I Z" in it but I don't remember what his main was called. I'm still trying to figure it out.

my friend pmed me while I was thieving saying that he had just died and needed some stuff. I asked him how he died(trying to aviod the free stuff question). He said he just fell to the ground while fishing in the fishing guild. He was wearing full rune, but lost it all and wasn't skulled(that's what he said but he lies alot). I'm not sure if he was actually lying to me or not, although it seemed quite real.

I am very sorry about the random deaths. That was my invisible friend Gary. He is a skilled Runescape player and after a lot of hard work making money his account was hacked. He felt that he could get the amount of money he once had if he killed some players. Gary is now richer than ever and doesn't plan on going on a mass killing spree anytime soon. The bug has been over for days now, but I wonder if it was possible to see whatever it was whilst wearing a ring of visibility. Would be so cool if you could!
