Actually I can't I dont have a bulleyes anymore.

First time I heard about this bug tonight was when I was at the rouge's den when I saw a lvl 3 pure skiller bank his green mask and rouges gear and mentioned the random dying. Scary times these days :(

Link doesn't work. Saw it happen earlier today just after I had got done with tears. The guy next to me got one hit for 68. I just assumed he had decided to kill himself (with some instant death that I was unaware of lol) instead of tele out.

 

 

 

Also had a random thing happen when I had been standing around in a bank without doing anything but moving my bank screen every now and then so as not to log out and all of a sudden my char yelled "All a sudden I have an urge to dance!" or something like that, and started to do the dance emote. Made me laugh.

it isnt fake, someone else has just told me about this, and with pictures too. I trust her as well, so I don't know what jagex are doing about it, but I was looking forward to going down there today after I get my membership sorted, maybe I won't now.

Chuck Norris decided to play Runescape but being Chuck Norris he didn't need to be in the wild to Player Kill and went around showing who is boss with some nice round house kicks to the face. This is no fake people!! Jagex knows about it and is trying to track all the bugs, if you don't believe this, see the general p2p forum as well, someone posted a quote from a Jmod I think. Just bank if everything if you plan on playing at all, but I don't see the point in playing at all if you can't do anything.

Never mind the bug is fixed now.

As you may be aware we had a bug in the game which occasionally hit people for high numbers at random causing them to die.

 

This has now been fixed and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

 

 

 

We will NOT be doing a roll back.

 

 

 

This bug happens in quite specific areas under very specific circumastances. It was actually very obscure and not something which we'd have been able to pick up under normal testing.

 

 

 

It has actually been in the game for a little while (it's definitly been in longer than the new engine update) and we hadn't heard anything about until this morning.

 

 

 

We do not believe many people at all have been affected in a way which lost them valuable items. - Hence why I say there will be no roll back.

 

 

 

The only reason that it suddenly came to a head in the last couple of hours is because suddenly it became widely known and people started standing around on mass in the affected areas to see people die.

 

Obviously most these people would have bought three or less valuable items, so those deaths don't really count.

You may. Then again, it may not be, they might just think it is. Who knows? I also don't believe that it wasnt a new engine thing, because if it wasnt, why wasnt it happening before the new engine was in place? Unless someone can confirm that it was?

Anyways, the bug is fixed, and it is quite probable that it is not from the new engine, as the areas it happened in were almost deserted areas, making the bug hard to catch
