With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

It's going to cost 2.7mil to get from 52 to 75 not including servant wages or the cost of the logs since i'm cutting them. And I figured that if i hadnt wasted so much putting up and taking down rooms that it would only have cost around 300k to get from 0-52 instead of over 1mil

I've spend about 6M I'd say, I got 4 marble blocks and 7 gold leafes in my house. Despite the big spending the cash in my bank is only down by 2M and that's only because that's in my miscellenia coffers. In the first days of construction I sold over 3k oak planks, 500 teaks and 250 mahogany. At the rate they we're going they made up for what I was spending on the sawmill for my own materials.

Combat 116+; Total 1900+; All Hard Tasks; (Nearly) All quest points; (Nearly) All skills 60+; An aquatic moose ninja.

Currently: Using 63 hunter to get some of those "Chins", then I'm going to range stuff down. Interruptions of agility when I feel like it, as well.

And lucky enough to get 4 Dragon and 6 Barrow Drops.

[hide]Kwimbob now looks exactly like me in real life except for hair color. Yes, this means I look exactly like the protagonist of that certain anime that my second character, Faye_V is also named after. Yes, I bought a jacket that also looks like his. No in real life I don't have a slain bear to sling over my shoulders. Yes, I'm that skinny even if I no-life it for years in basements. No, I can't shoot a gun. Yes, I can win any other strategic video game you have never played - because I probably have, ahahaha. And yes, I also have brown eyes, yet one of my eyes looks different from the other. And yes, I'm completely oblivious to the [real] world around me as I constantly engineer new solutions to daily problems in my head. When I get hungry, all that isn't food can wait. When I'm sleepy - nothing is of any priority in front of sleep. But at any other time, I never slow down. Never give up. Never Surrender. Makes for a good life.

Probably around....maybe 150k tops.

I bought some planks from sawmill guy, probably about 200, then quite a bit of cloth...

I spent 1k on buying it...

30k on 2 workshops

4k on parlours

20k on some bedrooms

5k on two gardens

kitchen and 2 dining rooms...

I don't know how much that is altogether...but I'm just about to spend around 30k on normal logs...

edit; Now level 29

about 1.5 mil to get to level 53. My aim is to (eventually) to get to level 65, and hopefully get there before they put construction onto Tears of Guthix. I need that xp on runecrafting.

around 15mill spent so far on getting 71 construction and making my house look nice =)

more then 65% of that is completely because of gold leaves and marble though :(

Btw some of you might think this is never worth it ?

All I can say to you is to compare it to any other money trained skill.

Take herblore, or smithing or even crafting and waste 15mill on it.

What do you get ?

The ability to smith full addy ? maybe even a rune axe ? Ohw how about crafting glories.... wow so fun :D and yeh well making your own potions, a thing I really enjoy doing btw... but it is NOTHING compared to the joy I get of many and when I say MANY I mean that already 1000 runescape playing people have enjoyed, thanked me for, and congratulated me on building such a nice house. Not to mention how much I enjoyed making all these people so happy, I loved it when people said omg and I love your dungeon, or the way u set up your house. Seriously the best thing is is that when I go to my house on my home world.... People somehow just come in :o some are friends some are complete strangers, they have been told by their friends about my house or have been at previous parties but they all know they are always welcome at "silver24-7's" when I'm in. So seriously I am not exagerating if over 2.000 people have heard about my house, and I bet there are probably more.

Now tell me, do you get such compliments, happyness, enjoyment, training and using your crafting skills ? Well I sure don't and I'm a LOT happier with my 71 construction then with my 76 crafting or my 66 slayer ( which took me a lot longer to get) or any of my other high lvled skills.

So if you think construction costs too much money, please reconsider taking into account, cost AND reward, not only the cost ;)

about 150k to get to 29 construction (just enough that i'm still not on the highscores)

Edit: Once Tears of Guthix works for construction, i'll be leveling like mad. When I did tears for crafting fletching and farming (which were in the 30's) i'd sometimes gain 2 levels at once.

Why shudder? Seriously. It's not like its your real life savings, it's a game, construction is fun as games are meant to be. Pixels aren't material, you have coins for a reason, to spend them, construction is just another one of those things.

As for me, 400k on 30.
