NOTE: The bug is not the normal double or more appearance of the brothers, it's new. If you do this now, both copies of the brothers will attack you as if you were in multicombat. Even if the brothers aren't copies and are just 2 different brothers in one room, they can both attack you at the same time.

 

 

 

So... I was in the crypts and Karil pops up at a door. Sometimes I manage to melee him with just food and armor but other times he hurts a lot, so I decided to go back through the door and take a sip of prayer pot for this fight. I did so then I went back through the door and quickly attacked the Karil for the first hit. At the same time though, a new Karil appeared with the arrow above his head and also attacked me! :shock:

 

 

 

 

 

 

Even when I attacked one or the other, they would both continue to attack me. I would have two damage splotches at once and everything (though you can't see any damage in this picture, just both of them shooting me). It took an extra sip of prayer pot, but I managed to kill them both. I saw how it could be pretty deadly though when my prayer wore off for a second and I got hit a 20,1 at the same time, and just imagined what a bigger double hit could be like :o.

Yeah, I just confirmed the bug. Any time you get double (maybe more, too) brothers, they can both attack you at the same time as if you were in multicombat, but just the brothers both attack you. Here's another picture:

I also just got Ahrim to do it. Note that in none of these cases I've been trying to get doubles, lol. There's only one damage splash because the other Ahrim did one of his curse dealies (and I had really low stats at the end of the fight :o)

It even works if you get different brothers in the same room, they can still both attack you at the same time.

i've been double teamed by dharok...as trojann put it nicely..i never clicked ectophial faster :)

I've had three Dharocks before...wow...that was scary...and they appeared at a door, not the chest! I escpaed with about 9 hp.

Hm... yes, but remember that my case was odd, I was being attacked by two Karils at the same time as if I was in multicombat, which, of course, I was not :shock:

Once I was at barrows with friend and i had three items on me and I forgot ectophial (lol). So i decided, why not I'll get mutilated by Dharok. He was always my favourite. So I go into his crypt open his chest, and I run like a little baby to the other side of the coffin lol. Someone came in and I'm like, wanna see me get killed? He of course says yes. So I go over and attack him. Well, don't I get hit a 44! Ouch. Then he wouldn't hit me! I was like, wow. For about 15 rounds he didn't hit me, and I didn't have prayer on. The person is like Holy ****, whats your defence?? I reply truthfully, 60. I run up after getting hit an 11 and having 10 hp left. I go back down to see how the other guy was doing. Well doesn't he keep on getting hurt. He runs up after I see only red lol. He ate some food and grumbled lucky noob to me. Then I started laughing really hard.

 

 

 

Anyway the point is, well I don't really have a point I just like telling stories lol.

It's rare, but two things with the same speed of attacks can attack you at the same time. If they attack at the same time, the game will think of it as only one thing attacking, so you can have two things attack you at the same time.

ohh barrows what a time. actually, all my time. i spawned 3 karils in a row once, got knocked down to below 10hp, drank a ppot, ate some food, and got next to nothing from the chest. oh, how we love barrows! :D

i remember that the brothers have the attack priority on you, hence if you have 5(got close to that with verac and guthan) they'll all still attack you, not taking notice of single combat area

 

 

 

or such as you use the safespots in the northeast and a rat attacks you while you're maging a melee bro(safespots dont work on karil n ahrim of course)

when i was a "pro" barrower, for a while i used to try to spawn multiple brothers because i thought it increased chances of an item...i dont think that anymore and have stopped trying to get multiple bros.

 

 

 

but one time i managed to spawn FOUR dharoks :) luckily, since i had had every intention of spawning multiple dharoks, i already had melee prot on, or i bet i wouldve died :o

its not that weird that both attacked u, i always use safespots in my runs and while i'm bein attacked by the tunnel monsters like rats worms or skeletons i can just continue fighting the bro. that almost the same, its multicbat in a singlecbat place, those bro's are just weird. :twisted:

i get that all the time when i do barrows never knew it wasa bug i usually try to get it on purpose for ahrim cuz he easy to range without pray he never hits

No, they both attack at the same time now, as if it was multicombat.

I thought it was already like that and well known..

 

 

 

Whenever I would Safe spot one of the melee brothers in the tunnel another monster would attack me, yet I would still be able to attack the brother because the single-combat thing doesn't apply to the brothers. Any normal training spot I would have to stop attacking the monster and kill the monster attacking me first.

 

 

 

So Im pretty sure it isn't a bug.. and If it is, Jagex doesn't really care about it.

yes i know they both attack thats what im sayin i didnt think was a bug because i had been getting it since i started barrowing and even with ahrim double teamin he still easy

Hrm... I remember that I used to get these and that they wouldn't both attack, but take their turns attacking me like the other monsters do....

 

 

 

It is a bug, though, because it's been on Jagex's bugs-to-fix list ever since barrows came out but they haven't bothered to fix it yet... :P

 

 

 

EDIT: Even different brothers in the same room can attack you at the same time. Now having two different brothers isn't a bug at all. Having them both attack you at the same time in a single combat area is definitely a bug.
