bflitny1
I don't think anyone should have much reason to complain, except maybe the people that durial321 killed AND who actually lost something, and those affected by the poison thing, but it's so few people out of the 6-700000 players that I think Jagex couldn't really have done a better job, and the other thing is that I don't even know how they fixed the bug in like 1hr, it probably took 15mins to notify a Jmod playing in USA or somewhere else, like 10 mins for them to phone Andrew or someone in the UK, probably 20-30 mins for the right people to get to the Jagex building and then a few more to inform everyone and at least 15 mins to take appropriate action, they must have done something right. Thanks Jagex!!!!!!!!! Drops: Barrows: 60+ DK: 4... Dragon: 60+ Whips: 2... GWD: 0...ouch!Main Goal: 2000 total with no 99's

Anyways... thank you, JAGeX! *Bows* the point is that 666 is probably not true anyway... Jagex has done a good job in creating a game that is popular, cheap and most important of all, fun. They have responded very fast to that incident, and i don't think you get much of that in other games. Jagex, i sincerely thank you. 6,924th to 30 hunting, 13,394th to 30 summoning, 52,993rd to 30 DivinationKiln Record (Post-EoC): W 25 - L 0, 14 Uncut Onyx, 8 Jad hits received (Best record: Two in the same kiln)Obby set renewed post update #2: 0QBD drops: 21 crossbow parts, 3 Visages, 1 Kites, 2 KitsMax Port Score [2205] Achieved: 27th April 2013 (World 2nd) Farmyard Rampage ranking: 12th, 50,000 Kills. pokemama
serously tho, when you work for a high income corp. like jagex, its like being a doctor...if their's an emergency in the middle of the night, by golly(nice word ;)) you wake your arse up and you get to work... i'm sure they got overtime or special pension for helping out with that anyway. Um, real life doesn't always work like that. Engineers and programmers are paid on a SALARY. That means they don't get paid by the hour, and that labor laws requiring time and a half for overtime do not apply to them. That means they can take a long lunch or go to the doctor sometimes (in theory), but it also means that if the company "needs" you, you are expected to work overtime. For FREE. It stinks, but that's the world we live in. Since Jagex is a small company, I doubt they treat their employees that poorly. But unpaid "overtime" is a fact of life at many engineering jobs. Those people getting out of bed and coming in to work shows that they CARE about the players. Getting out of bed in the middle of the night would and did happen out at Cape Canaveral where I used to work, but again because the workers cared about the lives and millions of dollars at stake. Jagex COULD have let it go on all night and still said they wouldn't do a rollback. They didn't. AND I think despite the bugs here and there that this is the most massive update Jagex has ever done aside from RS2, and it's incredibly fun and most players are enjoying it, and it's really really REALLY good stuff! I'm delighted with it, even though I have no money to make my house a showplace! I'm still having fun! Kudos to Jagex! it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*. hashhockey69
Good on you mate! That is true they do soi much, they could have prefected it more if it weren't for all those children complaining. I think they've done a wonderful job, afterall no one said they HAD to come and fix things up at that time of night, they could have stayed in bed if they really wanted too. Well Done Jagex! Nicely said, they did do a wonderful job, its a great game, truly alot of work hours. HH69
honeo
I agree. Most of the people that complain about these things do not even know the facts... They do not know how hard Jagex works to keep this game up and running. The work that needs to be put into this game to keep all the servers from crashing. The programming of the game is horendously hard. People just need to appreciate more how hard the staff actually worked on that day of the bug. Training my pure! malo2
and there was a much easier way out of it too, they could have just said "meh, well just do a rollback, in the morining", but instead they did come to work, stop it all, and find the time to decide it would affect too many people and a roll back would be bad. So most people would disagree with a roll back (like 95% of the people?), but jagex makes the ultimate desicions here, and if they didnt care, they wouldnt have gotten out of bed and did a roll back. This isnt being a doctor, you cant deside to roll back time in the real world and make a person not get fataly injured so you can get a few extra hours of sleep. Butthat roll back would affect many other people, so its always a big desicion, so jagex still came, just to make the desicion if a roll back might be a bad idea. boy...too long... BlackFalcon
POH's have been talked about since before members even existed.... You think with that 3-4 four years of work they might of weeded out more bugs. I'm not gonna thank them till they do something that they thought through. Since this is there job and they didn't do the great on it they shouldn't be thanked. If you go to work for a client and end up screwing them over you generally get fired. So they get no thanks from me.

The actually work on it started about a year ago (prolly a little more) but it wasnt the only thing they worked on, there was also slayer, farming, all those other updates. so they had about a year of work, and a month or 2 of testing, now like someone said, some bugs are hard to find, im sure they did find 50+ bugs, but having only about 100 people to test the game is not going to make it perfect. When it all came out, you could say there were almost 1 million members testing (compare that to 100 staff), yet it still took a week to find. now instead of complaining, how about you get your own [wagon] over to jagex and help them test a big update, to satisfy nearly 1mil subscribers. chenw
let us face it, nobody, or a group of people can be absolutely perfect. Sure one may say that they have a bit too many bugs with POH, but the way that they dealt with the problem is not something to be discarded. Like malo2 said, they still got in their unsocial hours and solved the problem as fast as they could. Other people may have just left it until later, when damage could have nearly become irreversible. They could have done better at the skill, but the way they deal with these problem is A class in my books. 6,924th to 30 hunting, 13,394th to 30 summoning, 52,993rd to 30 DivinationKiln Record (Post-EoC): W 25 - L 0, 14 Uncut Onyx, 8 Jad hits received (Best record: Two in the same kiln)Obby set renewed post update #2: 0QBD drops: 21 crossbow parts, 3 Visages, 1 Kites, 2 KitsMax Port Score [2205] Achieved: 27th April 2013 (World 2nd) Farmyard Rampage ranking: 12th, 50,000 Kills.
