Ok well before Runite came out back before members etc, a way long time ago jagex was going to make Rune Purple.

 

 

 

I remember seeying Mod Ian i think it was with apurple sword and he said it was Rune but it hasnt come out yet.

Some people... First off, no player ever had a purple rune item. They changed rune to the cyan color before the first player owned rune items were around. And that was waaaay before r2h's came around. The only way you would have seen a purple r2h was on a mod, but even then you couldn't tell what kind of a sword it was. On a second note, no, I don't remeber it. I didn't play that long ago, and im not gonna try to act it either.

... The database for what used to be the tip.it forums was lost a few years ago, so even if he had registered when he started playing, his account would have been lost along with the database.

i joined shortly after rune came out, so dont quite remember purple rune, id love to see a picture tho

yeah there was atleast one purple rune 2 hander. I've also seen several pictures of the old rune. I also remember how gems looked on rsc before they were changed. I was there the day they dropped p hats, and pulled a few crackers myself with a friend. I also remember whne characters were selected on types (ranger, miner, fisher, warriow, and mage (i think there was another one)). I know this because my character was a miner.

i been playin since rune meds and chains were good, adam plates n kite were the best, the day rune plate came out i remeber 1 week ago andrew was in fally park with rune plate and wat it looked like rune battle, couldnt tell cause hactets looked like battles,

 

 

 

i remeber the huge line to talk to the guy next to mountain lol

 

 

 

and hundreds of people, i bought a plate that day 65k then i noticed i couldnt wear it till i did quest lol so i did it :D

I remember when they made rune available (legs, chain, etc) in the champions guild. Before that it was really rare and you didn't see it much because Bluerose13x was the only one who could make it, and it was difficult to get a hold of her unless you had the right connections.

 

 

 

@c3ptor: It WAS purple when it was in beta testing by the mods. Shortly before they decided to implement it into the game they switched to cyan.

Yeah if you think of it Bluerose13x pretty much started the economy. The 99 smithing and alching brought the first millions into the economy.

I remember Qwazydogg, that guy was a legend.

It was a rune sword, not sure what type, could ahve been a long or short or even a 2hand.

 

I wana say it was andrew himself that had it, but im not posative of that...

 

 

 

All i remember is a friend of mine IMing me on AIM and saying someone had a purple sword in lumby...so lumbridge I went.

 

 

 

 

 

I think they did it to get a reaction from people on the color or to throw people off before they released it or something.

 

 

 

 

 

I also heard a rumor (back then) that andrew was walking around in some new full armor (this was before the purple rune sword..about 2-3 weeks before if i remember correct)

 

Anyways, the rumor was the armor was orange. Rumor was it was rune too....but ya, that one i never saw, just heard the rumor back then.

 

Again...Rumor i head back then...wich i doubt because i have never heard about it since.

 

 

 

But anyways, there was purple rune...or at least a purple sword...held by a mod.
