June 20, 200620 yr Does anyone here play Second Life? The BBC keep going on about it and the virtual island they have for putting on music events. There is even a virtual Chris Moyles lol. But I dont know much about it. I just registered as Mercifull Skolem (annoying you have to have a last name) but I havnt downloaded the program yet to know what its like. Does anyone know anything about it and can tell me a bit more? Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. June 20, 200620 yr I know that a lot of people waste their real money on buying virtual stuff. I also know that a small number of people make real money from it. Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.
June 20, 200620 yr LOL i just looked at prices for the maximum.. to buy your own region its 195 USD a month.. it must really be a good game for that much
June 20, 200620 yr Author I didnt post the link for several reasons. 1. I didnt want it to look like I was advertising and so this thread would be lcoked before i got any answers 2. I think people should know by now how to search google and 3. I want replies by people who already know about it. June 20, 200620 yr not a good idea to post link to this game, simply because it is a adult game. there is a teen version of it which i haven't tried as yet just to point out from what i've seen( my husband plays) its a great game. but its a completely different game to games like runescape/wow/eq2 etc. its more a game where you live a second life in. there is a lot of socialising going on/parties/events. so if you prefer chatting away then this game is a good one Runescape nick : Fat_SlugOwner of Ears, Scythe and a 10 year veteran cape :D

June 20, 200620 yr It's like a bigger, better Sims Online. But like the Sims online, it gets real old, real quick. You can build your own stuff, but when I played, there wasn't any sort of tutorial to help. Meh, I might try again if lots of tip.it folk start. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
June 20, 200620 yr Is this the one with a guy called Jamie Kane that the BBC were advertising on their website? Even if it is, haven't played it.. but the one I'm talking about sounds fun; you can get like clues and stuff sent to your phone lol! I don't know what it is, but something keeps telling me you "own"?"When you're happy it's like you're a bird; you can fly. The only trouble is, you need other birds to fly with"
June 20, 200620 yr i remember an article a year or two ago about a person who purchased an island in the game for $10,000. not in game money, real US dollars. he charges $10 a person to visit the island, once again, real money not in game money.

He actually already earned his money back with his investement. Everything he earns from now on is pure profit... The value of my bank at its height. Estimated value at the peak of the rares market: 250 billion+.Most likely the largest trade in RuneScape ever. Estimated value at the peak of the rares market: 70 billion+.

He actually already earned his money back with his investement. Everything he earns from now on is pure profit... yeah, if you got the capital to start out with, it probably wouldnt be a bad investment. i wouldnt have been willing to take the risk when he did it, but now that i see you actually can make money i almost want to do it.
June 21, 200620 yr Hehe, I actually joined from a link from a link on the dw forums a bit back :D It's quite awesome. The individualization features - for appearance and programming your own everything - are incredible. I've actually tried to steer clear, because it really does feel like it could become a second life. Far more powerful than The Sims. Though it also has kind of a lot of potential for... naughtiness  Everybody hug and spread the love :D
June 22, 200620 yr Isn't the game free? But you can pay for it for benefits. (Like for houses.) And there is also a lifetime membership for about 200 USD? Like forum text games much?um... from... MARS, yes, in the third county from the... left.
June 22, 200620 yr From what i gather... this is an adult version of Habbo Hotel (I dislike that game very much)? Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! Behave or I will send my Moose mounted Beaver launchers at you!
June 22, 200620 yr From what i gather... this is an adult version of Habbo Hotel (I dislike that game very much)? Similar in theory... hugely different in actuality. Second Life is designed to be extremely programmable and intelligent, whereas Habbo Hotel is corporate garbage. Everybody hug and spread the love :D
