heres a formula

increase in total amount of people playing runescape leads to increase of the amount of jerks and the tepmtation to become a jerk

Increased amount of people also leads to other people being open to be friends with. If we used your formula the ratio of friends : scammer would always be the same. That's not the case as scamming is more like a disease in a way. If you get scammed it bring temptation for you to scam to get your money back.

When did they become like this? When rs2 was released, plain and simple.

hooray I got scammed again, but this time it was just my stupidity.

Item-Swichting scammer changed 520k to 520. My eyes just don't see the K anymore after 8 hours of merchanting and seeing the same trade screen hundreds of times.

Yeah we went pking tons of times and he had numberous chances to kill me in wildy with my stuff on with the same stuff he stole when I had like 13 hp left.

Trusting someone to go with you in the wildy and fight with you and not kill you when your low requires more trust then lending items. I just don't understand why he took them all of a sudden.

Has this happened to any of you?
yep sadly

That happens, if you don't want it to happen then it's quite simple; never trust anyone, despite how long you have known them. There's no way I would loan or borrow anything to someone who I only know inside the game.

There's few friends that I trust fully in the game which I have known outside rs for very long time, mainly from irc and I know they are mature and would never let me down as I wouldn't them.

Rsn: Onauric Combat: 136 Total: 2150+

All quests done since: 3rd December 2005

I've had it happen to me. I decided to trust someone right off the bat and I paid for it..but not much.

I was alching behind varrock bank one day when a girl walks up. After a bit of talking I decide to help the poor girl out. I give her a *FREE* glory. She was happy. The next day she logs on and says she was pked and lost it and requests another one. I do not give it to her.

Few days, maybe a week later I decide that I don't feel like crafting my flax. So I ask her to do a job for me, and I'll pay her 50gp per bowstring that she makes. I gave her 3k flax. Never heard from her again.

1 Amulet of Glory = 100k

3k Flax = 300k

My friendship = Priceless

I HATE THIS [bleep]ING GAME I JUST GOT SCAMMED ANOTHER 4 MIL BY AN ITEM-SWITCHER. I [bleep]ING QUIT

if he switched the item, why would you accept?

hey ive never had that happen to me.i only have 1 really good friend in runescape.every other "friend"i had ticked me off within a week and i pked them. :P but ive know my friend for like 6 months and weve been best buds on there....alomst like brothers.if he scammed me somethin big like that idk if id still play rs.....because id have no items and all that fun and training and all that pking would b useless.

so i feel so sry for ya man.idk what else to say except that rs has turned into a "scamfest"if u will.

I shall take my flock underneath my own wing, and kick them right the [bleep] out of the tree. If they were meant to fly, they won't break their necks on the concrete.
So, what is 1.111... equal to?

10/9.

Please don't continue.

When i was a newbie, some guy I know in rl in a summer camp scammed me of my full mith, full mith was worth alot to me back then. I shoudl've seen it coming because summer was ending :wall: . I've never took any of my friend's stuff before, once a f2p friend gave me full rune to hold while he was pking because he had no bank space left, and I gave it back.

THis leads to one thing...You can never trust anyone, not even your dearest friend.

When did the Runescape Community become a bunch of selfish kids you say? Shorty after the release of the game 'Runescape'.

School books: $50

Tuition fees: $450

Knowing that you're one of the million idiots to copy that same mastercard advert: Priceless

Since RS2 ofc.

Lowgravity, I want to be just like you. But...I never will be as 1337 as you. :(

It does seem that runescape can be a nasty place most of the time but all you have to remember is to never really trust anyone. You never really know what they are really like. I haven't lent anyone anything, never given out my password and never borrowed anything. If i die i buy the stuff back and the thing is i have never been scammed or anything. I know people say it all the time but you just have to be careful, you are always at risk if you decide to trust someone. I know not everyone is a scammer on runscape, but there are alot of them out there.

55/99 slayer.......I'll get there one day.

good point lol =D>

woah thats lame. a mate of mine lost his whip in a similar way and when i was f2p i lost a fair bit by lending out stuff and now i dont unless its one of my RL friends.

but dont quit!!! you still have your lvls man so dont let that hard work go to waste.

also want to point out for every item switching scamming noob who makes life lame theres a joker who just wants to have some fun and not cause hassle...its just item switching scamming noobs are easier to find.

Empire Mind:Nbk killed your clan.

NATURAL BORN KILLERS

JUST LIKE THAT

theres a bright side to getting scammed.

you learn a lesson and you dont ever make the same mistake again!

imagine you were scammed and lost for example full mith, and u totally forgot the incident and then you got scammed again (with the same scam) and lost summat like full dragon or whip. all because u didnt learn from ur previous misfortune.

belive me i learnt my lessons the hard way. one which i always remember > dont rush a trade.

ebuka1.png

If this makes you feel better

I lost my red mask like that last week

My friend lost his red mask also like that

Another friend lost his green mask and fury

Don't trust anyone anymore
