Naw Blue's the rarest cause it wasn't duped as much because it was not worth as much as the other phats at the time. The rarer and more expensive phats were duped. No point in duping a Blue when a pink is worth more eh?

 

 

 

Blue was the second most expensive phat right before the dupe - all phats got duped a lot, but purple's just masses more.

 

 

 

Before the dupes (if I remember correctly) the party hats market price (starting from lowest) was:

 

red

 

blue

 

yellow

 

white

 

green

 

pink

 

 

 

You don't remember correctly :P, from low to high it was:

 

red - yellow - white - green - blue - pink

 

 

 

Not to mention the fact that jagex deleted most of the pink/purple hats, making them the rarest again, but people didn't know how many were deleted, and suspected that there were still tons of them.

 

 

 

Fact? Fact is that I've seen tons of purples being sold in the months after the dupe. While most duped phats may have been removed at the time, many were still around - and purples definately weren't the rarest phats anymore.

I'll place my bet on the cracker. Majority has been used to make party hats, I don't think most would've kept the cracker then.

Actually, think about it: If blue was the most common first, then tons of pinks/purples were duped, then blue was only the second most common. I don't understand what your saying. People duped other colors but Blue was duped less i guess. Well that was my take on it. Maybe the color has made it more desirable or other reasons i'm not aware of .

 

 

 

They didn't take all out. I beleive they only took the stockpiles out, people who had masses in their banks were banned. Cause it was unfair to take away everyones plus they had seen the recent increase in their prices and didn't care for them.

The rarest rare is probably the half wine. However I am sure that last year, the rarest phat was in fact the white phat. :D I sent a query to Jagex asking which phat was the rarest and a mod sent me a response. However now after so many merchants, autoers, and cheaters have been banned, another phat might be the rarest..

Also, ther eis a few guides on how to do it gunthanless. I do it guthanless and have gotten to Jad easily. I can't imagine wasting my time healing using guthans when i can just use sara brews and have a cool range bonus.

OMG, that's not a way. And I never borrow since I can get in trouble for that. Guthan's costs millions, even if I'd sell it back it would still cost millions. :wall:

Green party hat would be my guess to the rarest party hat.

 

 

 

In classic there were less greens and pinks around because people didnt keep the uglier hat, they kept the whites, yellows, and reds. Then take the hoarding of pinks by a few people, combine that with the massive dupe of pinks/blues, you end up with a lot less greens then anything else.

 

 

 

 

 

Who cares though, value isnt determined by rarity. Its determined by market scarcity. Blues are now hoarded, and its not very often you even see one on the market.

 

 

 

As for people being deleted with party hats, its more likely that pinks/yellows/greens were deleted with those characters, because blues/whites/reds always had a considerably higher value. If youre autoing to buy a hat, you probably bought a lower valued one.

 

 

 

JaGex should just post the stupid numbers already, end the discussion.
