July 5, 200620 yr I read to learn. I used to read for enjoyment but in the past few years, if I don't plan on learning something from a text then I don't read it. I don't know why, I just have to learn something in order to make reading worth it. This is the way the world ends. Look at this [bleep]ing shit we're in man. Not with a bang, but with a whimper. And with a whimper, I'm splitting, Jack.
July 5, 200620 yr I don't like reading because it takes me at least an hour to find a book that I can read the whole thing through.
July 5, 200620 yr Author well i started to read chapter books all the other kids my age were still tryen to understand the words and sounds. someday when i get older i want to write novels of my own. books are my life and they teach your things. i understand that its all fake but most of the stuff in books that i read could happen. so reading is an enjoyable thing but also u learn thingsz that ca be a big help later on. when did you guys/girls start reading?
July 6, 200620 yr I love reading... If it's a book I like I could spend a whole day/night reading it (yes I've done that lol). In fact there is this series that I like that I bought a while ago cuz I had some extra cash and was at a bookstore and it was cheap... It was one of t hose books I wouldn't buy, but if I had it I'd read it... It turned out I loved it and have the whole series... That is out anyway...
July 6, 200620 yr Oh, I love reading. xD New worlds, new points of view. Reading helps you see the world in different ways by ushering in other worlds, either similar or unlike our own. xD I love languages.J'adore les langues.ÃÆÃ

July 6, 200620 yr if a book catches my attention at the first page i'll read it. it doesn't matter what the book is about. i also go through phases where i can just sit the whole day with my nose in a book, then go weeks without. i've just finished reading julian clarey's autobiagraphy(british comedian, with a rediculous high voice hehe) i started reading sharon osbournes autobiography last night, i will finish that today i think, its a great book and very addictive already hehe. all of my family except my youngest son loves reading. he's never enjoyed it. shame really cuz you can go to places in your imagination that you'd never dream of doing in real life Runescape nick : Fat_SlugOwner of Ears, Scythe and a 10 year veteran cape :D
July 6, 200620 yr Only my dad and two of my brothers (7 children total, only one sister  ) read. My brothers are into horror like Stephen King. I'm into fantasy/sci-fi. I'm currently reading the Inheritence trilogy (can't wait for the third book) and the Key's to the Kingdom series (4/7 books realeased so far [i think]). I love to read because I can totally immerse myself into the story. And I think I started reading somtime around or before Kindergarten. Right now though I have to read "The complete idiot's guide to Latin" .
July 6, 200620 yr It has to be damn good material, or else I loath it. And there isn't that much good damn good material.

July 9, 200620 yr I enjoy reading somewhat, although I'm not an avid reader, 20-45 minutes before I go to bed is fine, not 4 hours every other hour. I enjoy Sports-fiction and biographys about sports players. I also enjoy some science fiction, medieval, and World War II stuff. Really anything about the Holocaust which I'd prefer not to talk about (for obvious reasons   ) only as long as the story comes out good in the end.
