deloriagod
I enjoy reading things like forums and such because you never know what is going to be said next, and I can always voice my opinion about whatever. I hate reading books and such because I find it so boring and if I have an opinion about something that is said I have to find someone who is willing to listen... Although recently I've found that poetry isn't so bad. I don't mind reading it if it's good. I don't like reading the stuff my little kids that just tossed some words together that rhyme. I also have a bit of fun writing too but I won't post my work because I'm a little self-concious about it.. :-# Internet Marketing For Newbies
Adam007
I think you need somewhat of an imagination for reading to be enjoyable. If you're painting vivid enough pictures while you read of what's going on, books are like mental movies, and shouldn't be boring that way. Assuming you're reading something you enjoy in the first place.
deloriagod
I think you need somewhat of an imagination for reading to be enjoyable. If you're painting vivid enough pictures while you read of what's going on, books are like mental movies, and shouldn't be boring that way. Assuming you're reading something you enjoy in the first place. I find it hard to find a book to read that I enjoy from the start. If I'm forced to read a book I'll end up liking it by the end but for the first half+ it's boring. Also I only have a good imagination when something is described VERY well. I love drawing so I watch music videos and listen to music to get ideas. :-k Internet Marketing For Newbies
nvw08
I love to read, I make sure I read the book before I see the movie because I have a mental picture of what everyone's going to look like, then I can be surprised at the director's view on the characters. Also, you can read a book anywhere, you need to have a lot more stuff to see a movie. Also, reading boosts your vocabulary and gives you better writing and other inportand skills that you need later in life, whereas in a movie your just watching a lot of pictures moving and listening to poeple talk. 8-) Droolman's item Guide | My RuneScape pictures | My barrows videos, with download link!Free Image Hosting! | Free File Hosting! speedofsound
+1 I love reading, I read all the time, again its like watching a movie only better. Sometimes I like to say the dialog out loud to here what it sounds like. You can't ever find a place that's nice and peaceful, because there isn't any. You may think there is, but once you get there, when you're not looking, somebody'll sneak up and write "(bleep) you" right under your nose. Try it sometime. I think, even, if I ever die, and they stick me in a cemetery, and I have a tombstone and all, it'll say "Holden Caulfield" on it, and then what year I was born and what year I died, and then right under that it'll say "(bleep) you." Phil
I like reading information/factual, biography/autobiography type books but I don't really enjoy reading fiction.
____
I'm a bookworm. I just enjoy them, can't explain why really - different genre different explination :3>
Faux
I like reading information/factual, biography/autobiography type books but I don't really enjoy reading fiction. How do you say ditto except in the exact opposite? :P But yeah, I love fiction books. Non-fiction is a bit too boring for me. I'd rather watch documentaries on Discovery Channel if I wanna learn something new. At least that's entertaining, for me at least. I'm just not into sci-fi books either. Ooh and I got into reading cause I used to read my cousin's romantic novels. Those *bleep* parts where so damn hot. And I was younger than 11 yrs old when I read them too  I remember the first book that got me into proper books though. It was a Hardy Boys book and I still have it :) :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
stan18
i like interesting books. no charles [bleep]ens and stuff, whenever we read his looks i cringe and gag :x books that stay interesting while being original are nice - les mis and the grapes of wrath were, literally, the only interesting novels i read for school. everything else was...bad short stories rock btw :)
deloriagod
no charles [bleep]ens and stuff I kind of enjoy older books. I liked To Kill A Mocking Bird after I got into it. And I loved Romeo and Juliet :3> Internet Marketing For Newbies

mad4u689
I used to read a lot more than I read now. I always enjoy reading for class, but without any pressure to read I rarely do. When I do, I prefer modern classics and "literary" works rather than some of the bestsellers. I made an effort to do some more reading this summer, and have read three and a half thus far. More to come, I hope :D Some recent books I've especially enjoyed: Lolita by Nabokov (disturbing, but amazing), The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Kundera (very philosophical, existentialist, post-modern, fascinating Czech novel), and Wicked (a bestseller that I thought was surprisingly well-written, and an enjoyable read!), and One Hundred Years of Solitude (purely beautiful, an amazing epic work) Everybody hug and spread the love :D
MyPurpleCrayon
les mis That is definitely an amazing book. I like reading certain books, it just has to be a good one. :P Ghost: I am prejudice towards ignorance, so that would explain why I appear to be so. ford_rule
i thoroughly enjoy reading books of most types. i like stories you can immerse yourself into like the big epic series, aka lord of the rings (cliche), the emperor series by conn iggulden is my favourite. i also like reading non-fiction books, like subject books on certain things like ancient rome for ecample. i like fantasy sort of, but historical type books like the viking series too. i love reading so much cos a good book can make u feel like ur a part of it, thats how i judge a book, by how into it it takes me, like ive read the emperor series three times in a row now. i love it! BenBru
I used to be love reading in around 4th grade. I got 3rd place in the whole school for most pages read. I was supposed to get Winterhawk tickets but I never recieved them. I still enjoy the occasional read, but I don't read nearly as much as I used to. I still love being taken away in a whole seperate world while your reading. Its a feeling like no other. I am an Atheist, and I take pride in it. Loge_05
I thoroughly enjoy reading. Mainly fiction as I find other books such as biographies dry and uninteresting (with some exceptions). Also I enjoy reading comic books whenever I can. I think the purpose of any book is to teach the reader something. Whether it be to change their outlook on a particular topic or, as mentioned, just to expand one's vocabulary. Offline and unavailable.
Ragen
I love to read books. Fiction, Non-fiction, biographies and whatever else. I prefere longer books as they are often better planned and they can really keep me into them. With short books I can't appreciate the story, characters ect because it feels rushed and not very deep. Of course there are exception to these, a few short books I've read have been very well written and a few large books have wasted days of my life. So yes I am into reading, big time. Kwisatz
I read fiction, but what I like to read most often is Wikipedia. When I'm bored I just sit on Wikipedia and follow the see also links. In this way I've learned a lot of useful and not-so-useful stuff, and my Jeopardy watching is henceforth more enjoyable :D. handed me TWO tissues to clear up.
