August 1, 200619 yr i could probably rave on about this forever but... I live in the United States so all you ever see is miles, inches, gallons etc etc. I got kind weirded out when the tip of my thumb to the first knuckle (how they got the idea for the inch) was longer than one inch, i was ike WTF . so i call that my 'epiphany'. Now, for the last 4 months or so, ive been using kilometers, centimeters, liters, all that jazz and i CONSTANTLY get made fun of for it. I think your right, not only is the metric system easier to use but its also easier to learn. I WUB MY METRIC SYSTEM :3> ... I can learn about credit, banking, paying taxes, legal rights and mortgages at a skatepark?Runescaper since december 3, 2001

August 3, 200619 yr Imagine how many books, signs, everything that would have to be changed. Maybe we'll switch one day... A mind not to be changed by place or time. The mind is its own place, and in itselfCan make a heav'n of hell, a hell of heav'n.
August 3, 200619 yr Metric is much more logical. 4 Quarts in a Galleon. 5280 feet in a mile. Come on! whos the idiot who made this up? "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."

August 3, 200619 yr just another point to add about the cost of converting: are you guys aware of the amount of mileage markers on highways? many highways have 5-10 per mile, so the number of markers on 100 mile stretch is 5000-10000. and 100 miles shure isnt alot... do you have any idea how much money and time it would take to reposition all those in metric and make more with different metric numbers? there are atleast 2 million + mile markers in the US.
August 3, 200619 yr hate it! imperial wins, probs cos im uk init bee, although binary is fun \ Which Final Fantasy Character Are You?Final Fantasy Currently Listening To ~ Hotel California / The Eagles

Australia seems to do fine without such things.

August 4, 200619 yr like i said before, the money can be put to better use. imagine having to measure every little thing. roads arent perfectly straight. i didnt say we needed them either, they're there, and im assuming the government isnt just going to take it out of the system because there to lazy and cheap to readjust.
August 9, 200619 yr I'm english, and we still use miles for our roads, and i know how long a mile is, but i don't know how long a kilometre is. Metres and centimetres make sense. I say its time for some stat resets... who's with me!Stat reset? :uhh: Noooooooo! *Grabs levels and hugs them* MIIINE! MIIINE! :ohnoes: mmmm...... lol :p Woow, Jagex made a typo, let's hate them now.
August 10, 200619 yr I'm english, and we still use miles for our roads, and i know how long a mile is, but i don't know how long a kilometre is. Metres and centimetres make sense.so you understand meters and centimeters, but can't grasp that 1,000m = 1km :-? 1m is a touch over 3ft, like 3'3 or 3'4....
