I assure you, Guthans is NOT needed for maging for 1 + 1\2 hour plus, I just did it with Who le ow and blur media, stayed and hour and 25minutes..

Ok just to clear this all up. Guthans is needed for what we really do! We usually range prime\melee sup. 1 or 2 people take rex. Guthan is needed for that. But when its mage only...no its not needed

Yeah I mean u can set up a little tent...make a campfire and cook the spinylips. Bring a couple beers and when needed do bussiness in the little creek around the king lair :thumbsup:

i hate that i cant come without guthans, but today, i stayed over 2 hours without it doing the rex thingy, i have witnesses, so guthans is not needed for me, and if you cant accept that, then im off the team =;

 

 

 

im pretty sure you had like 5people with you so you rarely took that many hits. Actually for maging...you dont need guthans but you need to pray so spins dont murder you. Id reccommend 10+ p pots and verac armor with slayer staff+pray book.

 

I was on that trip with Who lol (2 Zerkers :thumbsup: ). First part we quaded with Freshwacka and Blur Media [there were 5 of us, but Bobby logged early for dinner), then it was just us and Freshwacka (Blur decided to solo on another world ), then Bobby returned from Dinner and it was 4 of us again.

 

 

 

We lasted fairly long, but everyone without Guthans had to tele eventually, while I just logged off with a FULL INVENTORY of pots, except for a few Anti pots and one Super Restore lost (stupid prayer draining Synolyps ). Guthans rocks :thumbsup: - I'm going to log on tomorrow and finish the trip soloing.

You need 1 mage, and 1 ranger/melee. The mage goes in first and runs straight east, with protect mage on and gets prime to come as close as possible. Then the ranger goes down and melees supreme once safely. Then the ranger goes to the north east and stays there and just ranges prime.

only problem with that is the ranger has to pray the whole time and you get like 5-6 kills and prime's drops are really bad compared to rex

if i dont have 1 of the above criteria (crystal bow is the one i dont have, dont have 70 ranged), am i not allowed on? I have guthans and high mage (getting higher). If you say no that will be ok, i will just train my range higher then join

Haven't gone on a trip for a while... if you're planning any later, I'm there. :)

I went on a trip today with fastforce, shortman, and stan. I got a mud b staff first prime, soon thereafter stan and short died. :(

After that we did another trip just maging with stan and short, got a d med and a warrior ring.

 

The trip lasted 4 hours and 45 mins i believe, if Stan had stayed on longer and we had brought more runes we could have stayed even longer.

 

 

 

Guthan is a necessity (sp?) for dag kings, no doubt about it.
