so i was having a small party only like 10 people there. and while we were fighting one guy got a drunk dwarf. then like 2 minutes later another guy got a genie. then 5 minutes later i got a mysterios old man. :-k so maybe house have better chance of getting you randoms

I don't think the number or random's was increased, I think the concentration of people made the illusion that people were getting more events. If alot of people are standing around doing something close together it will seem like more randoms are occuring just because of all the people. Each one has a chance to get a random.

There was a way to make loads off of mazes awhile back. Simply combine alching, full inventory, and a little combat and poof at least 3 mazes an hour. I think I have a pic where I had two on one screen. Pretty fast cash when you combine the profit from both alching and mazes. At first I was concerned it was bug abuse but a query simply told me that randoms are RANDOM. :-w

That was the start of a record day. I recieved 2 rick turpentines, 1 freaky forrester, 3 niles (or giles i forget but they were all the same), only 2 swarms, 1 evil chicken, 2 genies, and 17 MAZES. I played for a long time that day but it was probably only 6 or 7 hours (AGES ago). Made upwards of 730k. \'

i think that you get alot more in the new stronghold place b/c i get about 10 per hour there and now they just kinda annoy me

again that could have been random chances, i dont think jagex increased the amount of randoms we get, because then it wouldnt really be random would it

actually clan gatherings seem to draw loads of randoms, especially meetings, it is soo weird :? i knwo its random but still

That was like that since it they came out, and was there for a while.

 

 

 

The reason it worked was because you wouldn't get strange boxes, so instead you would get a maze/mime, but seeing as mime is rarer 90% of the time you got a maze.

 

 

 

I discovered this before everyone started doing it though :P

 

 

 

And the "Alching" part still works, if you do something different (Cut a bow, alch something or bury a bone) it's basicly a "signal" to send a random event.

You people really don't understand how computers generate random events, do you? They pick a random number when something occurs and if that number matches a number that was programmed to trigger the event, it triggers it. Here's an example. A computer picks a number from 1-100. If that number is 38, 57, or 64, it will trigger an event. Otherwise, nothing special will happen. They could have easily increased the chances while keeping it random by adding more numbers to that series.

areas where you cant get randoms increase your chance to get one when you go out such as pc and cw. also increased number of people make more randoms happen as there is more people.
