Ragen
Be thankful your achilles didn't snap. You can hear it go like a gunshot. Worst. Pain. Ever. That happened to my dad when he was playing squash. Definately looked painful. Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar!
Scruffy5389
I think I've actually been injured worse playing soccer than american football  Not surprising. All these american footballers say that soccer is a wussie sport because it's not full contact ( ). What they forget is that soccer players aren't wearing twenty pounds of pads to keep them safe. Soccer can be a ton more dangerous. Gotta love it 8-)
Ultralord
Soccer is for ghey people.....that fart in their own noses, then they like to smell each others doo doo , then ....THEY HAVE GHAY SEX Very respectable comment. =D> no doubt... this is supposed to be a thread about sports injuries not your opinions on sports. thesigmaker, just so you know, soccer is the most played AND watched sport in the entire world. so your pretty much saying that most people in the world are... whatever you said. http://www.keepingongaming.com/boards -- Sign Up

Gotta love it 8-) scruffy, i now love you plutonically lol :3> and bubsa i forgot to mention that i have sever's disease. The growth plate in my foot and my achiles grow at different rates so i can injure them 3 times as easily as anyone else... so i am really lucky i didn't tear them. and yes, this is not the first time, not even the second or third time that i've pulled them during a soccer match http://www.keepingongaming.com/boards -- Sign Up
Bubsa
Crikey, you're very lucky in that case. Good to hear you're OKish though. If it makes you feel better, my left leg is 2 inches bigger than my right  I am medically a gimp! This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you. Giordano
Sounds painful :uhh: I never got injured too bad in soccer, once I got hit in the face with a soccer ball :-# This guy was the biggest guy on the other team, hardest kick too. Open goal, a couple meters up from the PK box, me in between, you know what happens :( "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is." 1_man_army
One time I tore a ligament in my knee playing football, it was painfull as hell. To be fair it was caused by me flying into a crunching tackle #-o . Lol I feel bad reading this thread because when I used to play football I was always the inflictor of injuries ( apart from that one time ). I broke a mates arm once, he took the ball past me andtried to jump over my trailing leg (I was still upright). He just didn't jump high enough and dropped. It was horrible his whole weight came down on the arm he put out to break the fall, it was made worse as it landed on these sort of semi-circular kerbs, which meant instead of one clean break of the bone, he got 2 breaks and the bone bent #-o . He who learns must suffer, and, even in our sleep, pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God. - Aeschylus (525 BC - 456 BC)

Bauke
I had an injury on the thing between my legs once (no it's not the thing that classifies my gender, but on the inner side of your legs, I don't know the English word) that made me unable to walk properly. A few months later it got heeled.. but, I couldn't walk normally! Normally you place the back of your foot on the ground first, but I touched the ground with my toes before letting the back touch the ground. My dad had to learn me how to walk again. That was pretty weird. And I got occasional injuries on knees, feet and stuff... Got my ankle all big a few times.. part of the game.
