Kashi Posted August 4, 2006 Share Posted August 4, 2006 Hey, you know how noobs selling herbs always say, "But that's 'so and so number of stacks'"! But never take into account that you can't get unidentified toadflax? (the only way to get toadflax is to grow it or buy it with agility arena tickets.) Well I was exploring the fairy rings in Zanaris, and I wound up in that enchanted forest area with all the Dryads and Centaurs, and I decided just for the hell of it to chop a tree and fight the tree spirit. Well I hid behind a plant and ranged it, and what should it drop but an unidentified herb. I click it and "Whaaa?!" it was TOADFLAX!! But that's impossible! Has Jagex made it so all monsters drop toadflax now, or was it just from these crazy tree spirits? Anyone else had any toadflax so far? RAHK Posted August 5, 2006 Share Posted August 5, 2006 You can get unid toadflax and snaps from ONLY random event-esque things. Tree spirits, the pinball random, etc. The reason they added this into the game is because of the farming update earlier. When you first farmed herbs they were picked in unid form. Apparently this made people mad that they could grow something that they couldn't id and therefore sell easily. After they changed it to picking IDed herbs people still had unid snaps and toadflax. These became technically rare or discontinued items (like the iron sickle was temporarily). When they realized their "mistake" they introduced other ways for those herbs to enter the game in unid form. Blaze The Movie Fan Posted August 6, 2006 Share Posted August 6, 2006 Here are non-random events places you can get it: Kingdom of Michellina Temple Trekking MiniGame Agility Dungeon In Tavelry (don't remember the name however) Farming By trading moss giant seed (yep they do drop toadflax seed) for toadflax. You can easily get 30 Toadflaxes in about an hour if you farm them. (I know I do) And yer when I took the herb package at Pest Control once there were some unid Toadflaxes in there (2 I think). 99 cooking / 99 magic / 99 ranged / 99 hitpoints / 99 herblore / 99 defence Quoted for truth, wisest thing I've heard anyone say on Runescape.
