i just want to make a correction for the cowhides section. When i was f2p, i merchanted over 30k cowhides and made a few mil of profit. I also used the leftover 8k or so hides for personal use. Cowhides are generally worth a firm 100 gp each on f2p servers (occasionally cheaper). If you get a nice large bulk of them they are easily worth 150-180 gp on the official forums. In my opinion, the best place to buy cowhides is al kharid bank (any f2p world NOT 1, 3, 4, or 5 because there are few sellers there, only buyers). Lumbrige bank might logically be another good place. I'm not sure though, because when i did this, that bank didnt exist. :XD:

some other things to mention: rune essence isnt worth that much anymore, and you completely forgot to add pure essence. Yes, f2p players can, and do merchant pure essence. They just cant mine it.

lastly, your chaos druid location is very far from a bank. The ones in edgeville dungeon are much closer to a bank.

that giude rocks although u can add a lot more merchanting ideas into it. i usually make my own coals and irons to make steel bars, sometimes i merchant new items like the recent wiz g ( i made 700k profit) or i sometimes merchant god armoure for a little more gain..

here is a quoat to help you on wich armoure is most sellable.....

Merchanting is easy! As long as you know what your doing.

That's the first thing you need to know.

Introduction

In my eyes, merchanting is the easiest thing in Runescape. You can basically merchant anything. I don't think it needed an extra anything You don't need any levels to merchant. Watch out for scammers. Always look at the 2nd trade screen for about 5 + seconds to make sure your not scammed. Merchanting takes time. Don't rush things. Make sure you don't get scammed!! ICan't stress this enough. Make sure you know prices, or don't sell things for that item or buy it. It could be 40 gp, you never know. youMust be firm With your prices. If you aren't firm, they'll suck you into selling for lower or buying Higher. Earlier I bought D square for 1.6m, he asked for 1.7M. He said no. He said he'll find another buyer. 20 seconds later he pmed me and then sold . TRUST ME!

Common terms

Seers = Bank west of Camelot.

Varrock - West/East = Varrock banks, meaning the east, or west one.

Lobby - Lobster

BS - Bowstrings

D - Dragon (Armour)

Guth - Guthans

Hamz - Torag the Corrupted Hammers

T - Torags

V - Veracs

Robin - Robin Hood Hat

If you can't sell your item(s) for more than you bought, just sell it for what you got it for so you don't get any money loss.

Few ways to sell things..

To make sure people don't think you're autoing, just say:

Add your name somewhere so they know who to trade with. Always change the difference every little bit.

Getting your first million GP

To make money, you have to have a little bit of money. First: Make about 200k-300k. Do this by:

1. Mining ess, coal, etc. This easily can be done by completing the [/size]

2 Runecrafting: Runecraft the best rune you can. [/size]

Also you can run Air runes, in World 16. You just bring 25-27 essence. You then trade a maker, he/she will trade you 2k+your ammount of essence back so you can come back and repeat.

3. You can ask a friend to borrow (Probaly won't get anyone, but I got 2m to borrow once, gave it back)

4. Don't scam, that'll help. Also if people get scammed or "I got haxxxed" just don't listen to them and ignore them. They'll just bother you more, and you'll get less done.

5. Fish: Fish lobsters, tuna, etc. Here are some good places to fish:

Barbarian Village:

Catherby:

6. Woodcutting: Cut Yews, if you can't, Willows are fine.

Magics and Yew Locations:

Filled vials

Now before you try this: This is very time consuming.

There's a general store north of Ardougne Zoo. There are filled vials which sell 3-12 gp each. Just simply put your money in your inventory. Buy, bank them to the south eastern bank. Repeat!

Sell these on the forums for 180-200 each.

This is extremely good, but time consuming. For example:

Filled water vials - 12 gp each. You have 300k on you. You buy, sell, etc. You eventually buy all you possibly can. Which is 25k with 300k amount of gp at a 12 gp per filled vial. Sell them for 200 each. You make 5M! But.. This will take 926 runs Guides don't need emoticons.So if your willing to make money with time, indeed this is your source of money.

Now merchanting the first million GP. You should merchant things in bulk For example just buy items in 1k's. Or less. (100, 500, 1000)

Yew Logs

Price: 220gp - 250gp+

Bow Strings

Price: 150gp at the spinning wheel. 180gp - 200gp on the Forums.

Willow Logs

Price: 20gp F2P worlds. 30gp - 40gp on P2p worlds.

Congratulations, you have your first million GP Emoticons not needed.

Now, you must go on the Official Runescape Forums to buy good items. This is where most of the buying/selling will be taken place.

Earning millions of money

My old favorite - Go in a crowded world. say:
Buying all snap seeds, 15k each!!!
2.
Buying all snap seeds!!
3.
Buying all ranarr seeds!!
4.
Buying all ranarr seeds, 15k each!!!
or a combination of both seed types. You won't get many sellers. But trust me after you spend a decent amount of money. Sell them for 21k-23k each on the forums! That's 8k a profit for each seed

**WILL take a while to get the snapdragon seeds/ranarr seeds**

Verac's Flail

Price: 500k - 600k

Armour

Now that your are an expericanced sounds more suitable merchanter, buy full sets of Barrow armours **Except Kharils** For example: Buy full dharoks for 3.6M. Sell it for 3.7+. 200k in 20 minutes.

Full Ahrims no staff 1.7m - 1.8M

Full Torags No Hammers - 1.7M

(Due to Torags mostly sold without the hammers, I'll put that as the usual price. Add 150kif your going to buy it with the hammers.)

Full Dharoks - 3.5M - 3.6M

Full Veracs - 4.6M - 4.7M

Full Guthans 8.7M-8.9M

This is apparently the best way out of all. Through the help of my friends and merchanters I've talked to, you can make up to 400k and hour using this method.

Barrows armour including no weapons

You can make good money by selling the weapon and armour seperately. Buy Veracs for 4.5m. Sell the flail 650k, then sell full Veracs no flail for 4.1m. Same goes for other barrows. Just make sure you know prices before you buy/sell them!

Dragon armour

D sq's for 1.4M, sell 1.5M in a crowded world.

D Legs - Buy for 2.2M sell for 2.4M.

D Med - Not that good for money, it's around an average price, but I'd go with buying 400k, selling 500k on Official Forums or crowded banks.

Food

Many of you know, prices of sharks have gone down alot. Some people don't know that.

Buy Sharks (cooked or raw) for 900 each. And sell for 1k Each in crowded banks. Or you can also trade x amount of Lobsters for a certain item = x For example: Buy Flail (700k) for 700 Sharks. Sell for 700k cash \ 70k. It's kind of complicated idea, but you'll understand it if ya read it more times.

Listen to this. If you want to make good money, you have to sell for 50k above what your actually selling for, then lower it to the real price to make it sound like a kick-butt deal. Emoticons not needed It works alot.Example. Verac is 4.5m, you sell for 4.6m
Selling Veracs 4.65m!

Ok, ok 4.6m

Herblore

Try to sell atleast 50+. And always have 11 Notes of unids when you sell them. Just so the other person doesn't make sure your scamming. And don't scam.

From Falador to the Taverly Dungeon

From enterance to Chaos Druids:

Prayer Potions

Pretty easy to do . Buy Ranarrs for 6.5k - 7k each. Buy Snapegrass for 400-500 each. And make P pots.

You can buy the Vials in the Taverly Herblore Shop. You can also get free Snape grass from the first couple of spots at Waterbirth Island. South and north of the boat.

Robin Hood Hat

Price: 3.5M - 3.7M

Black Cavalier

Price: 1M - 1.2M

Flared Trousers

Price: 400k - 600k

Zamorak Vestment

Price: 1.2M - 1.4M

F2P items!

Iron Ore

Price: Buy 30gp - 60gp. Sell for 100gp at World 1

Crafting

You can sell the cow hides for 100 each.

Armour

Full Rune

Price:150k - 180k

Price: 2M - 2.3M

Price: 1.1M - 1.3M

All of the God armours should be done behind (North side) of Varrock West Bank in crowded worlds.

Even though you can't post in official forums, look! You'll find good deals there. Just add the seller/buyer and ask them kindly to come to your world if they arn't already.

Rune Essence / Runecrafting

You can buy 20gp - 30gp. Sell for 35gp at 1k incraments.

ALWAYS use the forums and use a crowded world at Seers. For the Snaps & Ranarrs, try the Fally East Bank, if no one's buying them for 20k each.

Great guide again, another tactic I use sometimes is to buy pieces of barrow armor cheap off people who just got them and then sell the set for more.

Today while merching i discovered a small secret!

MUD BATTLESTAVES!!

Let me give you a run down of what happened

I wanted a mud staff so i bought one for 1.6m

Someone said that they were buying for 1.7m so i sold it

I bought another one for 1.65m and sold it for 1.8m

I decided to get out while i was ahead so i boguht another for 1.65 and left. So in 5 mins i made went from having 1.6m to having 150k and a battlestaff

So in short, Mud BATTLE Staffs are very good for merching indeed!

I'll try it out later after i do 5k curses to see how much i can make in an hour
