ThurinEthir
And one of the planes were going to Boston...It's always Boston isn't it?? If you didn't know, I live in the Boston area, and that's the airport I use. My dad has to go to Portugal for a business trip in 2 weeks, hopefully everythings okay by then. Hopefully your siblings get home safely, ronin. Cenin pân nîd, istan pân nîd, dan nin ú-cenich, nin ú-istach.Ithil luin eria vi menel caran...Tîn dan delu. How2PK
Don't worry. Of course they'll get home, just a little bit later. I'm sure everything will work out just fine. :) Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore! Bmw
There wasn't an attack, just a foiled plot. No reason for anyone to be freaking out, they arrested 21 men and aren't allowing you to take shampoo on board, but I have a feeling your siblings will be fine :? It's scary to think of how close they were to pulling off the attacks, but what can you do about it? What will crying and freaking out help? Nothing, it just makes you feel bad. If your mom is at home crying, the terrorists are still happy. If the UK and US airlines take yet another sales hit for this, the terrorists are happy. Don't let a bunch of terrorists change the way you go about your life. We live in a wealthy, developed society, thank god. It's amazing how much we, as individuals, can freak out about anything and everything. Anyhow, I do honestly hope your brother and sister make it home okay, which I'm sure they will. jacnoc2
The above poster (BMW) is correct. There was no attack, just a foiled attempt. Apparently, they found out that terrorists were going to try to use liquid bombs. Now, people are unable to even take water bottles on planes. First, one stupid guy threatens that he has bombs in his shoes, which forces airport security to require that everyone (under 12yo -lucky 11yo brother) take their shoes off...Now, we're not allowed to bring water bottles onto the plane. I have a message for all terrorists in the world: F*** YOU! You're making life miserable... ...Why don't you just go hide in a cave with your oh-so-wonderful Osama that you worship. Sickos! Anyway..now that I'm done venting my frustration at the terrorists. Hope your family members get home safely (and quickly) I just flew recently. Took off from Maui at 4:30pm (Hawaii time) and arrived at Chicago O'Hare at 5:30am on August 1st. Longest flight I've ever been on. And, I could not get comfortable long enough to actually fall asleep ((overnight flight)). I feel so jealous for those people that were in first-class. plenty of room to put their legs.. why am i rambling? o well..I'll stop. ThurinEthir
Oh yeah, I forgot to say this. I just got home yesterday on a flight from San Francisco. I feel very lucky that I didn't have to go through the long security lines. To the guy who posted above me...in San Francisco they had everyone take their shoes off anyway, and I always do it through security even though I usually wear sandals. I also consider myself pretty lucky since I took a plane from Taipei to SF (11 hours) 4 days ago, I imagine immigration to be extremely slow now. Lol, Jacnoc, you're probably jealous of me as well, even though I wasn't in first class, I was 3rd class, not economy which was 4th class. Ronin, your siblings should get home okay, just maybe a few days later. Cenin pân nîd, istan pân nîd, dan nin ú-cenich, nin ú-istach.Ithil luin eria vi menel caran...Tîn dan delu. Giordano
21 terrorist were found having these liquid explosives. They were going on 10 different planes, with distantions to many cities in US. The airports canceled all flights, so your family is just stuck in UK until they reopen. Just about time. (A very long time in fact, standing in a airport for like 5 hours will make me in a rampage) I have a message for all terrorists in the world: F*** YOU! You're making life miserable... ...Why don't you just go hide in a cave with your oh-so-wonderful Osama that you worship. Sickos! They just want revenge of what America has done to them. Rose_2_Pure
Nick, that comment was idiotic and uncalled for. This is a terror threat, not a threat from the Countries. Seriously try thinking about something because if your going to bash America then at least have a reason to do it. Rose

What else are terrorists than frustrated people, convinced they're doing something good? Do you really think anyone would so gladly sacifive its life to screw around with the Americans? Why is s/he the ignoramus? It's the terrorists who are ignorant. To be honest with ya most terrorists have good reasons for doing what they do. If you've grown up in the Middle East with your mother and father dead and your friends shooting soldiers and knowing your grandparents died because of 'the stupid interfering Americans' and bombs going off every few days and killing your loved ones, you'd probably look at things from a different point of view...Not that I think terrorists are right. There are other ways around problems, killing innocent civilians is just murder. Ronin, no-one was hurt. Tell that to your mum. Everything will be ok - none of the bomb had a chance to go off and I'm sure they'll be given a chance to return safely in a week or so. Before then, I hope everything's ok. Don't fret about it. :D

Oy_the_Great
You obviously don't get a thing about the world, ignoramus. What else are terrorists than frustrated people, convinced they're doing something good? Do you really think anyone would so gladly sacifive its life to screw around with the Americans? Why is s/he the ignoramus? It's the terrorists who are ignorant. They are as well, I didn't say they weren't did I? But ignorant people are often people that are radically convinced of one truth, like the terrorists are convinced they're right about everything they think. Try to imagine you've lived in Pakistan, or your entire life, that Israelis, Russians and now Americans have been waging war with your parents and their parents. How would you react? Would you do the same thing as Bush would and attack their 'base'? Bush attacked half the countries of the middle-east, directly or indirectly, adter 9/11, which was a minor event in comparisson to the wars of the past 40 years in the middle-east. Now these people react, radically, by terrorist activities. Of course it's the same bad reastion as Bush's, but that's what ignorant and stubborn people do. They bite if they get touched. Now, I'm not defending terrorists, I'm trying to show you guys that what they're doing is barely different of what the US does and has done the last couple of decades. Except they don't have the army to invade the US, so they must rely on guerilla-ish terrorist activities. I hate both parties, but I despise the fact that so-called 'civilised' countries like the US couldn't react a little more mature. If Europe was the victim of the assaults, which they now have been several times, I'm sure we wouldn't react that heavily. Oy_the_Great
And people wonder why im opposed to Islam and plan on voting BNP... Please, Antrune, take the effort to read what me and Issy wrote about it. Barely anyone seems to realise people in the middle east have been suffering their entire lives, for a small part due to the western countries, especially the US. Now if they get indoctrinated and believe the US is entirely responsible, how would you react? With hatred towards the Americans, no doubt...
