Bubsa
Bubsa, YOU never cease to amaze me! Quote me and you get a cookie. Sorry, I don't do complimenting quotes in my signature. Being a vain smeghead isn't my thing. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
Babbler
this is what fuels tha hatred for the middle eastern countries, IMO - nuke the whole country. an eye for an eye. i strongly support vigilante justice. Thats disgusting, you would have 2k+ innocent Iraqi civilians, mums, dads and children. For something a few people do, thats digusting... This video shows how real it is, and the truth ISNT comfortable, and shouldnt be. I was very sad for a while after this, you can just imagine him seeing the next plane heading towards them, and him realising that he was going to die. bjbj1991
9/11 was 5 years ago, yet it still shapes our society. It reminds us that we are not safe within our own fortress, and only a handful of indeviduals can cause a huge amount of pain and suffering. A single death is a tragedy; a million deaths is a statistic. The great masses of people will more easily fall victims to a big lie than to a small one. Especially if it is repeated again and again. Oy_the_Great
*gulp* That was horror. The thing that struck me more than anything is that the guys were just sitting there, wonderful person at some lady on the phone who could do nothing. It'd be one thing if they were trapped and couldn't go anywhere or anything, but to just lay there and do jack.. I mean, if that was me, and I really wanted to live, I would rip apart chairs, wrap the leather/whatever I had around myself, and run through the bloody fire, or do something. Much easier said than done I'd assume. No-one knows what it was like in there really. Indeed, if you expect the fireguards to be up there some time, and you're stuck in a part of the building that isn't burning, you'll most likely stay put. Bill Hicks[/url]":dhj2kan9]Since the one thing we can say about fundamental matter is, that it is vibrating. And since all vibrations are theoretically sound, then it is not unreasonable to suggest that the universe is music and should be perceived as such. 1_man_army
Hollywood can't make a sadder clip. Him talking about his kids and reassuring his wife, then the fire department saying there almost there, and finally the scream then sudden silence followed by the sickening feeling knowing that he just died, as did everyone running up the stairs to save him  People always say 2800 people died, but they just treat it like a statistic. They don't assign names and lives to each person. Whats the quote um '1 death is a tragedy, 1 thousand deaths are just a statistic' Can't remember where I heard it but yeah :? Holy *.. just watched it, I really don't know what to say  Its a quote from Stalin as far as I remember but I cant remember what he was refering to. He who learns must suffer, and, even in our sleep, pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God. - Aeschylus (525 BC - 456 BC)

FuBai
Yes, it is sad, yes, it is a tradjedy, no it was not unprovoked. I wonder how many vietnamese citzens died in vietnam, how many Iraqi's and Afgans died in the gulf war, and the war on terror. It's so big, because it happened to america. There was once a sketch on a BBC comedy program on how the West covers news: Reporter: Something BIG and aweful has happened Labour Rep: We are terribly appaled that this has happened Conservative Rep: We are even more horrified and appaled by this terrible thing that has happened Labour Rep: Not only are we more appauled and concered than the Conservatives, but we are commited to being more concerend, each year, in real terms. .... Reporter: Not to worry, we have just heard that the terrible thing happened a long way a way, and no white people were involved. Goodnight. Not to say that the 11/9 attack was not a disaster, was not wholey wrong, was not anything but an act of terror, but just to bring it into perspective. kelem_ryu
serves him well, that fart. why does he have to screw with the rescue team? it's not their fault. instead of conserving oxygen like he should have, he treated them like he was something better. it felt like he demanded to be rescued. "OMG! i'm not ready to die!" Ha! die with dignity, please. we are all going to die. at your age, you should have been better prepared imo.
killersushipunk
I was in 3rd grade at the time. I was watching TV at the time. "Welcome back to ... We interupt this program for..." This was 1 hour before school started. They canceled school. My mom's friend was in there. (she was lucky. she only got paralasys) I used to have a link to my school's project to provide fresh water to a Kenyan Village, but the sig police changed the link to say something, which, if followed, leads to an "ahem" adult website. Let me ask you. Which do you think is worse?
