Long Hair on Boys.

Featured Replies

You have to remember, Putter, that sometimes the unfortunate child has the long hair because his mother won't let him cut it. She thinks the curls are cute. :(

I agree with this. To me what Mr_Putter has described is a trend that has grown alongside the 'Kerrang generation' - the young kids who wear a Slipknot hoodie and do not have a single album. The young kids with the generic 'black shirt with flames'.

I call myself entitled to long hair as I'm a student. I can't be bothered to get my hair cut and not doing so saves money which means more meals for me. It has gone 2 years without cutting now and it's probably about 12" long. I call it stupid when someone (male) under 16 is walking around with long hair (I mean shoulder length or more and no, I haven't just turned 16).

Heh, every time I have a haircut, my hair is backl to about 1". Then it's another 6 months without a haircut. I love different hairstyles, I had pretty much every length of hair that doesn't make me a bum. Right now it's a tad bit irritating since it's that length of hair where the hair ends poke right into your eyes. But I'll give it another week and it'll be OK. Then it's barber time.

I've had sorta long hair since I was 14 (16 now turning 17 later this year)because I prefer it that way, hate having to get it cut and I've always just prefered it longish :P I'm not doing it for fashion or anything :D (My hair touches my shoulders I don't like it longer than that because it's a pain).

Mine is growing long. I just did my second year of uni, and haven't cut it since arriving. It's just an experiment for me, at what other time will I be able to just leave my hair without cutting it? It amuses me to see peoples' reactions when I don't fit their stereotypes. Keeps them guessing. I'll get it cut once I have to start getting job interviews. Also helps me appreciate what it's like being a girl. Long hair can be a pain.

For it is the greyness of dusk that reigns.

I generaly keep my hair "long".

At least, it's more of thick than anything. It's a bit above my shoulders. :D

Long hair like down to the shoulders so it's girlish I don't like (yea I'm a guy.. I'm just saying).

Really short hair on girls I don't like either. Oh and long hair like halfway down their backs I usually don't like too much either.

My hair was long a week ago. But then I cut it.

Now it's long-ish.

I don't find guys with long hair attractive, but meh, it doesn't bother me.

But if there's one thing that is disgusting IMHO is big afro's on white guys, and I'm not talking about black hair afro's either. *Shudders at the thought of brown and blond afro's* :ohnoes:

Did I mention that in the area I live if you don't have short hair you get the heebie gebees beaten out of you. So naturally I keep mine short ::'

I have, medium-long hair, I think it looks ok, but I have an odd shaped head :-$ , so my hair keeps it looking OK O:)

I have long-hair, I've been growing it for two years now..

My hair's longer than anyone that has gone to my school, still goes, or anyone that lives around me.

It's about to the middle of my chest, very wavy, and I never take care of it, so I look like a bum.

I like long hair, because I can hide behind it (Pssh, I'm shy, h'okay?)

That's my thoughts on long hair.

:D

Wha.. What..? Where am I?

I prefer guys with shorter hair, and I've always kept my hair short too.

Not that many guys look good with longer hair, I dunno why but I just don't like that look. Some guys can pull it off (Tyson from AAR :3> ) but alot of guys can't and I know that I definetly couldn't.

I've only dated one guy with longish hair (it was about shoulder lengthish) and I didn't much like it because it made him look too feminine. And about a few months after we broke up... he cut his hair reeeeally short. #-o

So long hair on guys for me is mostly a no-go, and altho Tyson is a cutie I'm sure he'd look better (if that's possible) with shorter hair.

We don't rebel to sell it just suits us well, we're the bright young things.

There's my hair at the moment, I couldn't hold out the camera far enough to show how long it really is, that is the front by the way, and it's like that all the way round.

Wha.. What..? Where am I?

My nickname used to be Cousin It for awhile, untill I stopped putting my hair in my face.

Wha.. What..? Where am I?

I was thinking about growing my hair long, but I'll probably be too chicken to go through with it. I want it curly (Like Orlando Bloom in Pirates of the Caribbean) but I'm afraid it's going to look womanish. But hey, if chicks dig Orlando, then maybe they'll dig me.

There's no sig here. Move it along...

Maybe they'll 'dig' you for being unique?

:P
