THanks alot man :)

You definitly need to add shading (or if there is any I don't see it  ). Everything seems so two dimensional and looks like it was colored with the fill tool. Although I must say I'm proud of your for remember to add the shadows

If I'm rambling about something I seem to know nothing about.. Feel free to smack me.

in the second one there is a sack on the ground... is that a leg hanging out? or is it a sword lol, btw add shading

Yea what they said. I am suprised with the shadow. You don't see that in many sigs. And it looks great for your first. My first well. NVM! :wall: GREAT!

the light source angle seems off and then again some shading and anatomy

98% of teenagers have been drunk or around alcohol. Put this in your signature if you like bagels

Although they might not be the most perfect of pixel sigs, they're definitely pretty funny.

Im back and I was wondering if anyone had a good guide to shading? I think thats my biggest issue.

'ello there. :) To be honest, it's actually not too bad for a first.

You've tried to add a little depth using shadows. Kudos for that. :) The anatomy isn't half bad, at least they look like people. o_o

As you might expect from the first couple of sigs, there's quite a bit to improve on, but with time, practise and listening and taking onboard comments and critiscism (c/c), you'll get much better. :)

Even though the figures are recognisable as human beings and not blobs of colour, you do indeed need to work on anatomy a bit (the link that Megadedhead provided up there is a good place to look), as the archer in Sig 1 has a very boneless right arm. :P

The alignment of some things are also kind of iffy, like the person in monks robes in Sig 1 looks a little like you squashed him down, whilst the tree in Sig 2 looks like it's about to fall over. :P

You also need to add some serious shading to your pixels. I can see you've shaded the ground a bit in both sigs (the grass colour gets darker as it goes farther from the light source - the moon), but at the moment everything looks kind of flat, like pieces of paper that were sort of just stuck there.

You should start by taking onboard a few of the basics of pixelling, which is what I sorta outlined up there - anatomy, perspective, shading. All the complicated stuff will come in time. :)

Also, make use of what's available here in The Gallery, because they are most definitely a great help. Terley's pixel guide is a good start, but there are many others available in the Gallery announcement topic.

Good luck, and have fun pixelling. ^^

Not taking sig requests - sorry!

I love the expression on the monk's face, in the second sig.

It's all, Monk: This can not be! Archer: Oh, it is. SHOT!!!111

Like the others said, some shading and fixing of the anatomy (just a bit) will bring the quality of the pixel up. ;P

It really has

The elbow of the girlie in the first signature needs to be less floppy. And what is that orange lake thing on the second signature? They both look really good though the person in the second one has a very strange face on .. ;D
