Anyone out there like to cook?

I love cooking as its the only real form of art you can enjoy! I most cook Stews, Soups, and meats. I dont like Cassaroles that much, as its just shake an bake. I also have a Ramen Noodles fetish, and love making recipes for them.

Post your recipes!!!

I have many Irish and Tennessee recipes, as well as some Texican ones our family has come up with over the last 150 years.

My personal favorite is Poppyseed-less Chicken, which is filet of chicken covered with cream of chicken, with cracker crumbles on top. When baked, it tastes great!

I also have a few risque seasonings for meat which include everything from Worschester to honey to bourbon.

i make peppers stuffed with meat and topped of with cheese 8-)

Oh yeah! That's one of my favourite dishes, so much fun to make! Personally, I think it's probably best with rice and peas. Mmmmmmmm...

I made up a recipe last night. It's brilliant- takes less than 4 minutes to prepare and 20 to cook. You can eat it as a snack, a small, light meal, an accompiment to chicken or lamb, or chuck it in the microwave when you get home from school.

Get some potatoes, cut out the yucky fungusy bits and slice 'em into roughly 2 cm slices. Chuck them in a microwaveable dish with a bit of salt and pepper, then drizzle just a lil' bit of olive oil over them, then mix them all up so each slice gets a bit of oil. Final step of preparation to sprinkle dried rosemary (don't get me started....*starts to dribble*) over them, mix that in too then bung 'em in for 15-20 mins depending on the heat.

At the risk of sounding narcissistic, I'm probably the best cook on tip.it.

I simply love it. I've got down to the final auditions for the TV show "Come Dine With Me" with my super duper special recipe (with a skittle based desser ;))

You...Thats just like you Bubsa, Here I have a genuine problem and your being narcissit-tic.

Anywho, I saw a cooking show were someone made roast chicken with those Dunkin' Sticks. The little waffle sticks that you dip in the syrup? She used the waffles as a stuffing for the chicken and the syrup as a glaze!! It one her a good some of money...

I like cooking. More of the special things though. I don't like going in the kitchen to make some spaggethi or something. Only like to do when I can make special things when I'm asking friends for dinner. It has been a success every time so far. But I like to make special lunches best. A couple of years ago I had a lunch thread here as well, but that was scapeboard, so we lost it.

I'm not much of a chef.

I made brownies for Mother's Day last year. I found a recipe in a book and made them from scratch. They turned out like crap. All hard and kinda too sweet. I guess I learned my lesson to never make anything at two in the morning again.

Also made a cake recently for my mother's birthday. It was probably the best thing i ever made since it was so moist and delicious. Everyone loved it, it was gone in a flash. My little secret? I didn't make it from scratch. It was store brand cake mix that came in a bocks that I whipped together. :-$

I also make salads. That's not really "cooking", is it?

In my life I've made atleast three different types of pies. Pumpkin, apple, and pudding. But... eh, I kinda cheated at that. Just like the cake I used premade stuff that I just had to put together

I've also made things like ziti, spaghetti, stuffed peppers, and meatloaf. But none of them were all that difficult.

I guess that the only thing I've ever made from scratch that turned out any good was Apple Kuchen. It was delicious, but I nearly half killed myself twice while making it. But it was so delicious, I get hungry just thinking about it. I'll never make it again though, I promised myself that. Because whenever I make something perfectly and I try to do it again it always turns out crappy. A crappy kuchen would reduce bacab to tears.

We don't rebel to sell it just suits us well, we're the bright young things.

I can probably follow recipes, but I don't have an instinctive knack for it

I'm not a bad cook. I don't really cook much now, but once I'm out on my own I'll be making gourmet dishes as much as I can afford :). My brother-in-law is a great chef and I've learned a lot from him, specifically about baking bread and pastries... I'm planning on taking some cooking classes soon so I know more.

Steak with honey seasoning sounds somehow, no matter how perversely, tasty. Thanks for the idea. 8-)

I personally use it for chicken, never tried it on beef. I choose honey because if the other seasonings upset someone's stomach, honey naturally soothes it...and tastes good :).

Trust me, play around with various things in your kitchen and you can make a seasoning for anything.
