Classic Dragonball :)

None of that fancy Z stuff, and definitely none of that schmancy GT stuff, just the original...

+1 it's the only anime I really watched but I do like a bit of Z (mainly early stuff, gets kinda stupid neat the end with buu and everything) But Original DB was awesome :D

Away :( -cheers all!

Other very noteable ones

-Gungrave

No, I disagree ridiculously, Gungrave is possibly the cruelest thing I have watched, Episodes 1-16/17 are fantastic, but the episodes to follow completely ruin the entire anime.

I agree with the guy who said the only good anime doesn't exist. Anime is filled with ignorant stereotypes, bad cliches and lack of originality which the pretentious nerds who watch it obsess over. Though ofcourse there are a few quality anime series and films out there, a huge majority of them are incredibly unoriginal, lack any yearn for intuitiveness and creativity and end up being a de-va-vu.

I'm not just talking about the "main stream animes" (whatever that means?), this happens with about 90% of them. And then when you finally do get something a little out of the ordinary (Neon Genesis Evangelion comes to mind). They get so far up their own arse trying to give an abstract ending that you start saying it's good simply because you're insignificant little brain can't grasp basic concepts that are presented to you in stupidly difficult ways.

I know plenty of people who like it(mostly girls) and plenty of people who don't(mostly guys)

i always wondered.... :-k

does everybody buy the anime as original or pirate. (copy, burned)

cuz here in mexico they sell it pirate....they sell everything pirate lol its not my fault but it does save money. it cost about 40 pesos (4 bucks!) each disc

that means i can get anime cheap, what about all you other buyers?

downloading ftw
Naruto, One Piece and Inuyasha 8-)

WOOT( minus inuyasha... )!!! WOOT!!! i like naruto and one piece, but i don't hav cable so i just go to http://www.youtube.com and look it up! all the episodes r in japanese... but they hav english subtitles, good enough for me!

anime totally rokz.

i like inyuasha, trinity blood, naruto, (YEEAHH!!) one piece (sometimes)

even pokemon......dont make fun plz

i havent really ever given anime the chance, but when ever i turn it on, i can only watch about 5 minutes of it. i find it pretty, well, stupid.

having said that, i guess i have watched two movies that can be considered anime. Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi (spirited away) and Appurusḫ̨̉̉do (appleseed). i really enjoyed spirited away, but i didnt enjoy appleseed as much. spirited away didnt feel like anime all that much, it more felt like it was just animated with a little japanese influence (dont know if that makes sense or not). appleseed was the same way, except it was a little closer to anime. had some corny parts in it, generic anime stuff.

I get my Naruto eps from a site called Naruto-Bunshin.com

It's free but it's .Rmvb quality so it's not as nice. Still, the only place to get the weekly realeses in Japanese. Japanese is so much better than the American version.

the best anime isn't plausible since the only good anime is a non-existing anime.

Testify.

Hellsing is a good one. I've only seen a few though.

I don't watch much anime. But I do like FMA and Naruto.

By the way, why do people keep complaining about the fillers in Naruto? I've been "warned" about them but I think they're fine. :?

The fillers were toooooo long XD

My fav. animes include:

Naruto (first half)

Escaflowne

Last Exile

FMA

But to top that off, though I'm not sure if anime movies are involved, Princess Mononoke is probably the best for me \'(lot's of bloody action)

What exactly were these "fillers" anyways?...

Anyways, I was a dragonball / dragonball Z kid back in the day  . I realy don't get the chance to watch any anime right now though.

fillers are episodes with practically nothing in them, used to strech out an anime that was meant to be about 50 eps long, to 500 eps.

So how many of you here actually watch some decent anime? rather than the over rated crap like naruto?

Actually, the number of non-fillers extends into the high hundreds. Also, the reason there are fillers are to distance the anime from the manga. The manga has to be ahead because if the anime passes the manga, they have nothing to show. The fillers are expected to end sometime soon. Also, just to be more clear, fillers are episodes that don't have to do with the main storyline set by the manga.

A filler is an episode that is not taken from the manga and has nothing to do with the main storyline. It adds nothing to the overall plot and is very boring to watch.

The worst episode ever in Naruto(103ish) is a prime example. Others include the making of pasta against pasta ninjas and training the school kids. They're worthless and boring

my favorites are:

inuyasha (up till after the band of 7)

FMA

s-cry-ed (like you didn't know that)

bleach

end episodes of dbz (before and after that suck realy bad)

one peice

case closed

trigun

naruto

i could go on all night, but i'll stop (cuz i can't spell them anymore lol)

Favourites

Gundam series(not the recently Seed crap. but i like the new Stargazer ONA)

Full Metal Panic!

Law of Ueki

DBZ (not GT)

Tsubasa Chronicle

Yu yu hakusho

got more but not bothered to list the rest

Must we all be called Otaku for watching tons of anime series? :?
