Every year, in the 4th year of highschool there is a studentexchange, this meens students from your school will go to a school in another country, and people from another country come to your school. (and homes of students)

 

(you can choose from 5 countries in a list, where you want to go to.)

 

 

 

I have chosen for Norway, in the city of Molde (2 points on the 'o')

 

 

 

there were 90 people who wanted to go to Norway, and I was one of the lucky 30 persons that could go. Ill go to Norway with a friend also, so thats even better :)

 

 

 

It starts at 5 November, and ends at 11 november.

 

 

 

I cant wait, who has been or lives in Norway? what will I expect there? :P

Its getting real close now, ill be leaving at 6:30 in the morning to Schiphol (airport) from there ill fly to Oslo, then a shorter journey to Molde, the city ill be living in for a week.

You can expect alot of beautiful people.

Lucky. We only get the option to go to France or Germany for now.

 

 

 

Although, since I study chinese I get the option to go to china in year 11! Since, a while away but hell, whatever it costs I'm be going.

My heritage is Norweigan, there is even a town with my name!! Slinde! Anyways i went over there two years ago and i had a great time. For some reason they had random slot machines in the middle of the downtown area. I won 21 kroner :wink:

Gratz but you only get to spend 6 days there? At my school we have a foreign exchange student program too (though I'm not doing it) and the girl that sits across from me in biology is from Brazil (and has a sexy accent :wink: ), and she came here in August and leaves in June..

Oooh...you'll have an amazing view of Norway if you're going by plane on Bonfire Night...(I returned from Austria last January at the end of an Islamic festival which I thiiink was Ramadan or Ede. Anyway it was absolutely gorgeous lol.)

I live in Holland, thats a bit closer to Norway :

 

 

 

There were 5 countries I could chose from:

 

 

 

Norway, Molde

 

France, Arras

 

France, Bretagne

 

Russia, Ryazan (very close to moskow)

 

and (Latvia?), forgot the city.

 

 

 

Russia was by far the most expensive, about âââ¬Å¡Ã¬500. (only approx. 25 people will go there)

 

 

 

and the rest is the same price.

If I can get together $4000, I'd love to travel to Finland over the summer of my Junior year, the summer after this upcomming summer. I'd go for the whole year, but where am I going to come up with $8000? So that's an automatic no. I can try the scholarship though, probably wouldn't win.

I have no idea how they are arranging that, all I know is that I need to pay around âââ¬Å¡Ã¬200-âââ¬Å¡Ã¬300 (those prices are the same for the other 4 counties, except Russia)

O, now I get it! You live in the Netherlands. I was under the impression you were going from the states. The $200-$300 makes much more sense now.

We only get to go to Canada. Lucky :(. Quebec, here I come! This January we are going.
