September 29, 200619 yr If you do not know already, I have been playing this game for almost 3 years. During that time I have met some real good friends. You may be thinking... Dean.. How do you make friends? You NEVER TALK when you online !!! Good question... When I play RS, it is basically an escape from everyday troubles, issues, worries, and also a great way to simply relax. Also I am a very goal oriented person and find a way to push myself toward certain goals. How does this tie in to Dragon Hides falling from the sky?? Well.... I have had a group of 5 people I almost began playing RS with.. We all met around level 40-50 making mind runes... We all noticed that we had something in common.. Or age and the drive to make law runes. We always met world 48 and took turns following each other to mind alter.. Was a good group. We all proceeded to get members and still trained with each other. Racing to certain attack levels or range levels.. First to get DMED drop at fire giants... Made the game pretty fun. Recently, one of my close friends who stopped playing for almost a year logs in the other day.... PM's me and he asked.. Want to go make some mind runes?? I almost fell of my chair laughing... and responded with... Umm.. At Pest control... can you wait till I get 10 more tickets.. He replied... If you can make it here in 15 minutes and also have turned in the 100 tickets, I'll get you what's behind door #2.. (( As always trying to push me to do something fast )) Since I was on a Heart world, I got the 10 tickets in just over 10 minutes. Cash them in. Tele to fally. Log out and then in (Reset high scores) and meet him at Fally west.. Once I get there I notice 2 other friends are there...We talk about this and that... Then he notes.. Oh, yea... Door number 2 was it?? I replied:"Umm that was if 15 minutes.. I am here in 12.. So door 1 and 2!" We booth chuckle ... He trades... 1k Ess... So I accept.. And we are off to make some mind runes .. For the fun of it and it feels like old times.. No stats , No worries on money, just good gaming with friends.. We get done using 300 ess and get bored and decide to have a game of Blood sport.. This is when we find a slow world and go to Fight Caves... We all put in a prize and winner takes all... We all give each other 10 minutes to get supplies and meet there.. I run to get Ancients on... We meet there.. and like always my good buddy PM's me through MSN and notes to team on our lvl 119 friend with 99 range.. ;) I put up a whip , Buddy puts up 1.4k Greens , another puts up 1.4 greans..Also another whip and Infinity, rune, and range boots. We team on lvl 119 and he teams with another friend who has 98 mage.. With the fifth just running around dancing not using any food... We finally get the ranger.. and I am off to the mage.. My friend splits for the floater... I get my kill on the mage quick, Ice Burst, dds special and whip 22 KO.. I then notice the 2 still waking on each other.. NICE!!! ICE BURST... Cubed them both... Didn't take long for them to both turn on me... But my orig partner I know is almost down on food.. I Cube them again... Then begin to own the floater.. We booth were close to red barred.. I get in first whip hit.. and KO.. I eat sharks like mad.. While I am getting hit with a crystal bow... With 3 food itÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s 1 on 1... I note he is in range gear... I equip Dharok with DDS.. Run for special... Hit 22-26.. Switch to whip.. He eats and switches to Veracs... I get my Ahrim Top on.. Still use 1 whip hit.. Then hit Cube... Boom 22... Run back while switching to Full ahrim.. Begin to cube more.. He eats and eats.. and says OUT!!... Music to my ears.. I switch to Dharok and whip... and rush in... with 3 food left I get the KO .. Woot... 2.8 Hides.. 2 Whip and a nice set of boots. I normally am not the best PK'er, dueler, or player... but tonight I was on fire... Or just relaxed around good friends. We all gather at bank and joke about how I h4x07'd and cheated.. LOL.. Some friends had to go but I stayed around to kill some Lessers with orig friend who gave me the Door number 2 prize... We go up and he is wearing his Noob outfit.. ((Looks like a Varok gaurd..)) I notice he doesn't change into normal gear... and starts getting owned by the lesser... WDF... but I laugh... Start dancing around him.. He says.. Watch my stuff ......Boom.. Gets hit 7 from lesser.. Dead... Death pile :o I right click.......Green DHides, nats and some garbage.. I pick up his stuff.. 3k Dhides 3k nats I PM him... Dude wdf you have this much on you for?? He replies: It's the fun way to give them 2u nubbin I respond: umm.. what? He says: After the 2 years of friendship and the fun 2nite.. 2nd reply: There yours...and that was door # 1 and 2 He logs off..... I get an email from him 1 day later explaining... He just found out that his wife is pregnant and prob wonÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t be playing much anymore... to all keep in touch.. and remember to keep having fun in life and in RS. Why did I write this?? Not to brag about I own in Blood sport Not to say" Look at me with 6k hides " But to remind people... In life and in RS.. It's not the pixels/money that should drive you to play/live.. But the experience and friends you make on the journey.. After that night I took a step back from my goals of x= xp an hour and y= how much money it gives me =No fun in RS and went back to... It's true, RS players have become very focused on obtaining pixels and such... we need to slow down and remember why this game is so fun; because of the friends. September 29, 200619 yr Meh, back in the day, almost everyone on Scapeboard were like that, friendly and nice. Most of my close friends were all from Scapeboard. Oergg, Cazwise, Musashi89, Swifty Mcvae, Hell S Judge, Pronida etc etc were all my closest mates. These were all my bestest friends, most of the time spent on runescape were playing around with each other, fooling around, making stupid costumes. Who can forget Oergg's Mith Chain, Santa and Pink Skirt? We always gave each other stuff, be it 500k, 1m, or 20k. It was always give, and help out. Nowadays, none of them play anymore, cept Hell and Cazwise. We still hang out, esp Caz, I don't have time to meet with Hell since he lives on the other side of the planet. :D We still have lots of fun, and trust each other with our lives. Nothing beats going around Runescape, having a ball, doing stupid stuff with a friend, not even getting a 99 in a skill. Known formerly as Ameoba3000. Now known as Vigoss.

September 30, 200619 yr Its largely because of the fact that people like Deangut are involved, that I applied to be a member of SODB. I read the original post on SODB forum and knew I was where i wanted to be. You guys are the epitome of MMORPGs. (I've already been 'Welcomed' so this isn't a wagon-kissing exercise, for those who want to flame, its telling it how it is.) If Runescape had more of this kind of goodwill, the game would be so much more enjoyable for all of us. Why is 'common sense' so named, when there is so little of it about?Welcome to puberty, we've been expecting you.
