As you can see i have the people drawn/shaded quite well, but i keep messing up on the backround and i dont have any ideas that look good with the people, i was wondering if some leet pixeler could help me out!

erm... no offence or anything, but they arent shaded at all... and the linework is all basic shapes and some slight editing...

guy on the left has huge buck teeth, guy on the right looks like a pig cause of the mask, plus the anatomy and shading is horrible

Listen, how about everyone stop insulting about his anatomy and give some bloody advice on how to make it better? Everyone has to start out somewhere

 

 

 

Alright, well...a head isn't exactly a circle like you made it, it's more of a rounded diamond, or oval.

 

 

 

Also, observe people, and try to base your anatomy, people are taller, and more slim and lean.

 

 

 

Try adding more to your background, anything that seems to look nice, dead bodies, pretty flowers, birds, spears, anything! And once you think your art is ready, then you know everyone would like it.

 

 

 

In my philosophy "If you see one flaw, then it is not worth showing, if you see none, then it is complete."

 

 

 

Just practice and you'll get better.

Wow, no reason to flame someone on their first pixel sig. I know I couldn't do any better, and as far as I know it's hard to make them. So how about no more flamers on this thread.

I think for a first sig it looks pretty well. I think the rounded heads give it a more cartoony feel which looks alright. And yes... good spelling! :XD:

Basically, Mac said what I'm thinking.. Anatomy is your biggest problem. You may want to look up some tutorials on shading too ;)

Simple, add some islands across the horizon, birds, and simple shading (two colors per object)

The only things I see that are shaded (and its only 2-tone at that) are the clouds and the santa hat.

 

 

 

I suggest working on anatomy before you shade or anything else.

 

 

 

this is a basic way to make male people.. it might be helpfull (just drawn by me right now)

 

the red colors are the stick figure, purple is skin figure.

 

tho your not allowed to use the drawing i made but you are allowed to follow the "procedure"

The worst I'll give you. C/C here is prety terrible on average. If its not a flame its simply good job lol or even plain old incorrect crits. Harshest? Not when 99% of the people dont know what they're talking about. Any one can pass the critics here, if you're looking for ways to improve at a good rate, you're at the wrong place. If youre looking for wood to stock your ego flames (not neccesarily talking to you Chaos) or for wood to stock the plain old flame flames, then this is the place you're looking for.
