Cheap days out?

Featured Replies

Okay, half term is upon us and instead of spending it inside avoiding the fun we could be having, me and a few friends wanna go out places. Different places, not the cinemas every day.

Most of the time we just go to the cinemas, the park up town, the skateparks and places to eat, or stay in and watch a movie and get wasted; that's about it for holidays. But we wanna do different stuff, have some fun, you know.

Yesterday we went to the nature centre in town (they have tree pandas/otters/beavers and stuff, and lizards and massive millepedes :P)

We just wanna have something to look back on this half term to be honest.

any recommendations?

How old are you? Why not do something productive instead of getting 'wasted' at the weekend. To many people like you can't appreciate what you have.

i was just about to say, if you want a cheap day out, don't spend money getting wasted. it might cost more than just money

You live by me so you could go to Sollihull ice rink, Waterworld in Stoke-on-trent or Alton towers or drayton manor.

If one of you has a video camera, you could make a short film. Spend a few days getting ideas and writing a script, then spend a few days filming. Doesn't have to be good, but you'll have fun anyways.

Go to the beach and get a tan. Too easy.

Go see a play that looks interesting. Or a concert.

Didn't you actually see he was looking for suggestions on things to do other than the ones he listed?

Please don't try to pick out arguments on every thread. Lets leave this topic for it's original intention.

That's assuming you got everything you need.

If not, you can easily set yourself back $1,000 - $2,000 just getting everything. But after that it's cheap as all hell.

Bleh, once I get off my lazy bum and go to Imageshack, there will be a picture here.

Go on a school organised tennis tour to the south of france for 6 days. It's what I just did and I had a blast.

Failing that, bike rides with my friends are always good fun, even if it's a bit cold for them. Ice skating is good, and near where I live is a place called XScape, where you can go skiiing, rock climbing and stuff, which is good fun for a one off type thing.
