Because out of 1000 bird nests from miscellania, I got about 20. Not a random assumption.

Btw guys, if you want to find more eggs, don't woodcut, put a heap of cash into the miscelania treasury and put it 100% woodcutting and 50% of whatever else (herbs, coal, whatever you want). In the hundreds of nests you get you're bound to get a few eggs, and perhaps some spirit/magic seeds. It's good profit, seriously. Last time I did it I broke even just with the seeds...
